How do you congratulate someone for beating cancer?

Just got news that a family friend has gotten comfirmation that she has beaten uterine cancer.

I'm happy for her because she's quite young (not even 50) and she's always been close with me and my wife despite her health issues, so I was thinking of penning an callographed congratulatory letter to send her. My wife has sketched a flower drawing to go along with it and we will all sign it - now I'm thinking whenever to deliver it myself or go with a courier.

A friend of mine that beat cancer said the funniest call he got was from a friend that said something like..

Hey man glad you're ok... Seriously the whole cancer thing was bumming me out and I hate being bummed out. Thanks for not making things worse for me..

This was said in a tone that made him laugh. It was a joke. Some people struggle to find the right words but few can pull off a line or two like this and not look insensitive. Glad our friend has been cancer free for over a decade now.

2 people i know have tumors 1 i'm almost positive is cancerous still waiting for the tests biopsy endoscopy and colonscopy and diagnosis to be certain the other not cancerous yet thank god. my pet had a tumor/mammary cyst before she passed away

I had a situation like that only once with a close "aunt" and I just said I'm glad she is here and she answered with I can't wait to get new boobs haha she is 62 years old and joking about that she is at least gonna have sexy boobs now lol

Sounds like you and your wife have the perfect congratulatory already. I would say hand deliver if she is close to you (as in your relationship, not distance).

That is an excellent idea, Id would just go with that. weird suggestion, could you find someone to courier it or deliver it that seems above and beyond, someone in a coattail suit kinda thing?
