Can you wear compression shorts as everyday underwear?

My bf wears compression short not only for sport, but as everyday underwear.
Are you supposed to do it? Is it healthy?

No, It doesn't allow his balls to move away or to the body, based on the body temperature, and this can effect his sperm

I wear compression shorts as everyday underwear and I think their comfortable unlike boxer shorts and they don't ride up like boxers
