I'm not gonna use a hair straightener anymore, so I'm trying to let my hair natural. The thing is that it looks like Hermionie's hair in this humid hell Florida weather.
tips please! What products are good and don't damage hair.
If you want to go high end - Bumble & Bumble's curl line is amazing.
Less expensive - Desert Essence - Coconut shampoo and conditioner with curl cream.
If you are trying to wear your hair wavy/curly be sure you don't brush your hair after you take a shower because that will cause frizz. I brush (paddle brush - ends to roots) mine before I get in the shower and then comb the conditioner through with a large tooth comb. Again, comb ends to roots.
Apply a good serum, both brands above have it - be sure to scrunch serum from ends to roots. Then apply the curl cream and let everything air dry until 80% dry. Then take the blow dryer to your hair to get some volume at the roots. Shake everything up a bit and you should be good to go.
Hope this helps!
P.S. Even if you aren't going for surly hair, curl creams helps smooth out frizz much better than straightener creams. Not sure why, but it's true:)
Definitely go cream over mousse - even Beyoncé can't pull off crunchy curls haha!
Stay clear of alcohol and products high in keratin protein. Naturally wavy/curly hair doesn't do as well with keratin protein and people with fine/straight hair. It can actually cause breakage for hair like mine anyways.
The serums I spoke about will protect your hair from the small does of heat used on your hair. Also, I don't recommend washing your hair more than every 3 days if you can help it. Curly/wavy hair is naturally on the dry side.
I came to realize by working in the beauty industry, that the only people who know how to handle curly hair are people with curly hair. A lot of products are worthless/harmful on curly hair. I taught my previous co-workers (stylists) and my current hairstylist how to work with hair like ours. I'm passionate about it because I have had so many stylists screw my hair up because they didn't know what they were doing. Hope this helps!
I use tea tree oil shampoo and conditioner. Sometimes my coconut alba shampoo and conditioner.
As for oils. I use coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil, shea butter, palm oil and ert- I only use organic oil in my hair.
If you want your hair to really grow eat your fruits, vegetables, nuts (almonds, pistachio, Brazilian nuts), and drink plenty of water. Give light massages to your scalp daily to increase blood flow in that area. You can take also a water supplement called Biotin. Made my hair grow one inch a month
My hair is actually longer in my avy pic looks about medium lengt
Good luck! And natural hair is beautiful.
Yes, don't straighten your hair especially if the weather is humid. You can do a nice braid out or some Bantu knot.
I naturally have curly hair and I usually use it curly. I only straighten it 2 to 3 times a year. I try to maintain straight for 2 weeks but it ends up waving up in the 2nd week. I guess you can do braidout or twist out like I do. There is plenty if YouTube channel you can subscribe for keeping your hair natural and growing healthy and hair styles idea :)
My hair is super thick and full. No relaxer here. So I can rally help you. Trim every 3 months :)
Girl, if your hair is SUPER thin, take Biotin 5000mcg! Buy it now!! it works wonder and you will see result after one month, other seen it in 2 weeks. So many people know about Bioti and it has such a great review on the internet. Biotin makes your hair grow thicker, fuller, and fast.

If you buy it which you should and I know you won't regret it, thank me afterbone month of using it.
Haha, if I had long hair I'd use scissors :-)
My 1 cm haircut is so easy in maintenance, 2 minutes max and it's looking nice!
I used to wear my hair quite long, and I found plain old head and shoulders+blow dryer was fine, with occasional conditioning

I brush my hair a lot too, I believe brushing your hair stimulates the hair follicles to produce more oil, making hair grow faster.
Also, trimming an inch or so off everyone once in awhile.
If you want your hair to grow healthy, don't put a lot of products in your hair, allow it to air dry more often, and try not to put a lot of heat to it.
I use Tresemme shampoo and conditioner.
I also put moroccan/argan oil in my hair when needed.
And I use a heat protectant spray if I'm heat styling.
That's it :)
Aussie's conditioners and Moroccan oil are lifesavers. Bedhead has some pretty good shampoos too.
I used to have long hair.. I used shampoo and conditioner lol.
