What about you?
How much milk/dairy products do you consume?
What about you?
My family and I rarely consume dairy products, and it's been like this since I was very little. for milk, I drink almond or goat milk. For meat, I eat grass-fed chickens/turkeys/buffalo. For cheese, I eat feta cheese, or goat cheese. I avoid beef and pork as much as I can. And guess what? I am perfectly healthy and I haven't puked for the past 5 years.
"The Truth about Dairy:
According to Dr. Willett, who has done many studies and reviewed the research on this topic, there are many reasons to pass up milk, including:
1. Milk doesn’t reduce fractures. Contrary to popular belief, eating dairy products has never been shown to reduce fracture risk. In fact, according to the Nurses’ Health Study dairy may increase risk of fractures by 50 percent!
2. Less dairy, better bones. Countries with lowest rates of dairy and calcium consumption (like those in Africa and Asia) have the lowest rates of osteoporosis.
3. Calcium isn’t as bone-protective as we thought. Studies of calcium supplementation have shown no benefit in reducing fracture risk. vitamin D appears to be much more important than calcium in preventing fractures.
4. Calcium may raise cancer risk. Research shows that higher intakes of both calcium and dairy products may increase a man’s risk of prostate cancer by 30 to 50 percent. Plus, dairy consumption increases the body’s level of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) — a known cancer promoter.
5. Calcium has benefits that dairy doesn’t. Calcium supplements, but not dairy products, may reduce the risk of colon cancer.
6. Not everyone can stomach dairy. About 75 percent of the world’s population is genetically unable to properly digest milk and other dairy products — a problem called lactose intolerance."

Ever watched "Super Size Me?"
hahaha you do well then :-)
I haven't consumed any dairy in more than a year and I'm planning to keep it that way.
YESSSSSSSSS
not so often
If you are conuming no meat or dairy products then why on earth people shouting at me that i must do?
and btw, if looking younger was based only by your eating habbits, then all the people would eat those foods... i don't think t has to do with that... just some part of it.
O yeah that was me that downvoted you. I noticed when you get a lot of them you turn really sassy and your answers are hilarious, and I was hoping for that.
That'd be mean, but whatever makes you happy.
I downvoted one of your answers that I stumbled on, and not to provoke you but because I thought your reaction would be funny. Relax...
Noted.
no cheese?
Most days, I guess. I usually have a cup of yogurt and oatmeal for breakfast, so the yogurt, obviously. A moderate sized glass of chocolate milk is actually good for you after a workout, so I have a glass of Ovaltine (what a nerd) post-gym sometimes. I'll have a little cheese here and there, mostly on burgers, but I've cut my red meat intake way down in favor of chicken. Other than that, just on pizza, which I've begun to just let find me instead of seeking it out, haha.
I wouldn't recommend cutting dairy completely out of your diet unless you have an intolerance. Its a staple food group for a reason. You need calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, vitamin A, vitamin B-12, etc. You can get that elsewhere, or in supplements I suppose, but I think nothing beats the real deal, plus the cost is way less. But you're wise to keep the intake low, cuz that stuff will fatten you up if you get out of hand with it. I'm not saying you should drink a quart of whole milk and and a pint of ice cream, but yogurt is a pretty solid source of nutrition.
I'm from "America's Dairyland." Of course it's a major staple of my diet. lol
I love most dairy products. They taste good. It can compliment a meal, or be a nice treat. And who doesn't love some ice cream on a hot summer's day. Cheese makes for a great snack, or compliments food very well.

I have cheese once every other day. I find it a bit inflammatory, but eh, my diet needs to be refined yet, and I like the taste. I'm mostly okay provided I don't overeat it. I don't like the taste of milk, so will just have almond milk on my cereal. And I'll have soya yoghurt. I definitely see it as something not particularly healthy, and will possibly eat it even less, or cut it out, in the future.
How can you live without dairy man? I love cheese and milk! Yumm! I drink one glass of milk everyday at lunch an there's just soooo many good meals that have cheese. Like pizza! You don't eat pizza? Oh man...
no and i can live without dairy, and i eat no pizza no ice-cream no cheese NOTHING. I read around the internet that cow milk specificly isn't made for humans in fact.. check it out
I don't drink milk, so I take calcium supplements, as calcium builds strong bones, which is super important. I do however eat cheese, yogurt, and ice cream. I don't eat yogurt or ice cream very often, but I love pasta and often have cheese ravioli and lasagna, etc.
It would be a waste of time drinking milk for the calcium. There are other things in it that stop you absorbing that calcium.
@Tractorbeam really? Like what?
I eat cheese a couple of times a month. But no milk... I hate that stuff. It's so gross.
@QA: there's some REALLY good coconut ice creams out there and nut milks, so don't worry too much about the loss of dairy.
The only things that's truly difficult to replicate is the cheese, hence my bi-monthly indulgence.
i dont like plain milk, so i hardly ever drink it. only when i have milk and cookies, haha. unless milk is an ingredient in something, like pancakes, i guess that counts.. but i never eat pancakes either! i dont eat cereal often either.. i do love milkshakes though, i have those a few times a month. i like ice cream too but i dont eat it a lot. i said about once per week. sometimes less. i like cheese, i eat that a lot. and cheesecake. other than that there's not much dairy that i eat.
still you eat more dairy than me. i even don't eat pizza because of cheese.
yeah i know that.. i wasn't saying i didn't eat more dairy than you. lol? and i love pizza, its one of my favorites, but i never eat it. :/
i stopped drinking milk about 3 years ago and these days i barely consume any dairy because i forget to buy it. i do love cheese and butter. have to go to this imported wine & foodstuffs shop to get decent prices on cheese.
I LOVE dairy but I recently stopped eating it about 6 weeks ago due to this diet I was trying out and I don't really miss it too much, and to top it off, once I quit dairy the pounds were dropping off me quicker.
exactly. milk and dairy have fat ;-)
Almost daily. I drink Vitamin D whole milk sometimes, but that's rare. I usually just use it in my oatmeal. I also always put provolone cheese on my turkey and chicken sandwiches, along with cheese on the occasional burgers. I don't have yogurt anymore though.
Being a built mad tall guy, whole milk is actually very healthy for me. I needz them fats.
*built tall guy, not "mad" lol.
I have milk daily. I love coffee and I put milk in my coffee so that's where the most milk consumption is for me. And cheese, I love cheese. How can you not have dairy products at all? I won't survive without dairy products.
believe it or not but there is a huge propaganda behind all this milk and dairy proucts thing... it's not essential for your health as many people believe. On the contrary it's BAD for your health
I don't care really. Everything is apparently bad for health. I like dairy products. I don't have them with the intention that my health will improve. And I'm a vegetarian so if I stop consuming dairy products also then what the hell will I eat?
well try following a vegan diet. They don't consume any dairy products
Ya I know that. I don't want to stop consuming dairy products. No intentions of becoming a vegan.
as you wish but you might suffer from Parkinsonas you grow older :P
Thanks for your concern but no thanks :P
I used to drink 2 glasses of milk a day, and eat cheese all the time. Now I don't drink milk at all and rarely use cheese. If I do use cheese it has to be organic and fresh. Other wise my stomach cramps really badly.
I drink milk daily, have cheese all the time. I'm 100% healthy, unless your lactose intolerant taking dairy out of your diet hasn't made you healthier.
still it's not essential for your health as many people believe
Without it, babies do not thrive, no vitamin D. Milk, like meat, vegies, water, fruits are staples of food for millions of years.
Babies get milk from their mother. When that stops, they'd presumably go through most of their childhood and all of their adult life without milk. It's really in the past <10000 years we've been an agrarian, non hunter-gatherer society, where logically, we could have kept cows; which is a drop in the ocean in evolutionary terms. So on the basis of this analysis, it's probable that we really don't need milk at all, except when we have just been born.
Well you seem to have your on opinion so why even ask the question?
@Levin exactly. mother's milk is totally different than cow's milk that most of people consume today
I love milk!!!
And ice cream!
And Cheese!
whatever... personally i'd not eat them... yuk
Then don't! More for the rest of the world!
I drink it daily and I've never had a cavity or a broken bone. Even when I went head first through the windshield of a car I didn't crack a bone.
on the contrary... milk and dairy can increase the risk of osteoporosis
simple... because people think dairy are essential for your health system
Rarely, I try to east mostly vegan so I usually drink soy or almond milk. Cheese is the only dairy product I really eat.
if you eat cheese then you're not a vegan
I definitely have cheese on a meal once a day, usually at lunch.
Milk wise, not as much. I've switched to Almond Milk. It actually tastes really good.
It depends on how much milk I have in my fridge. Some weeks I'll drink it daily some weeks i'll only drink it few times a week.
I love milk!
I don't know how much but definitely everyday. I eat cereal with milk every other day, butter everyday, and more. Dairy products give no problems to my body.
All day everyday dairy and I have a low body fat percentage. I go with the 1% skim milk, Greek yogurt, and Fat free cottage cheese. Good dairy does exist in this world.
I drink milk everyday, I eat yogurt and cheese 3 times a week. I can't spend a single day without drinking milk.
Every day. Cheese is one of my most favouritest things. I'd happily die 10 years sooner to keep cheese in my life
i noticed that everybody in this poll voted the last choice, that consumes dairy every day... do you do it because you like eating them or because you are afraid of health issues, having the impression that daqiry will "save" you?
only dairy product i consume is milk chocolate, never giving that up
i use to consume chocolate milk but i gave it up
I eat cheese and sometimes very rarely I will eat eggs. I hate eating ice cream or anything cold and milk just tastes nasty to me.
I consume a lot, like daily basis since I love the most of the taste. Milk, cheese and yogurt are my favorites.
Everyday and quite a lot actually, love milk! I guess about a liter of milk a day, yogurt almost every day and cheese on bread etc.
Wow I should do that I think im gnna try it out but I don't know how I drink milk eat cheese and yogurt almost everyday so pretty hard for me lol :p
noce or twice per week... i consume black tea daily
tea is better than milk
not really but i don't like to consume milk together with my tea in the morning because it makes me wanna throw up.. have been like this since 5 years i think
i only drink coffee and tea (not together)... i really dislike milk. tea is better and healthier... and coffee is healthier as well. milk has FAT too, don't forget
yeah its true
I don't eat much cheese, but I drink low fat milk everyday when I pour it on my cereal and in my three cups of coffee and occasionally cup of hot chocolate.
It varies. Sometime I have it everyday and other times I may go a month without dairy. As of lately I have been on a greek yogurt kick so almost daily.
I went with C.
I've slowed down a bit but i use to eat milk and cheese on a daily.
Dude.
Cheese.
Fuckin cheese.
Its like bacon, but it can melt into warm golden goodness.
I have silk and almond milk every day for breakfast. I do eat cheese every so often when I have Maccoroni and Cheese.
I drink milk every day, probably around a liter. I also eat cheeze every day. I don't see any good reason not to.
Every day lol I love dairy. Plus being pregnant and having young kids it's a obvious thing to have around the house
i drink a glass of milk a day, eat cheese a few times a month, and yogurt around once a month. i love dairy but too much isn't good so i stay away from having excess amounts
I voted D as I've drink milk at least once or every other day. As for cheese I only eat it once or every two weeks.
I drink a few cups of milk everyday. That's why I'm 6'3" at 17.
but still if you consume much dairy as an adult you'll have osteoporosis in the future and you might be less than 6' as you grow older :P
A little milk on my cereal & some times a slice of cheese other then that very little
Why would you stop consuming diary products? If you aren't intolerant, they are healthy for you.
dairy damnit-.-'
NOOOO they're not healthy
Love cheese, milk no longer agrees with me. It's to bad I love fruity pebbles. . :(
several times a week i eat eggs, yogurt etc, ice cream.
Once or twice per week I have pasta with some grated cheese on, that's all
Oh and usuall a piece of cheese in the salad
I drink milk almost as much as I drink cum. which is a lot.
I had some milk chocolate yesterday...
I voted daily but its really several times a day
Almost on a daily basis.
I love dairy...
I have a coffee with skim milk almost every day.
Daily I am a milk lover... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Lactose Intolerant :/
You don't have any lactose free products where you live :o?
They just don't taste as good.
My dad makes me drink milk every morning
awwww too bad if it's not your choice
Blessed cows.
