I bought this many a year ago in Shropshire, England. As you can see, it's designed to hang in windows. But can you guess without googling what it's for?
All of the above! Honestly, first guess was SheWee. Then i figured something to keep birds from flying into your window and hurting themselves. Then i thought maybe you’re just sadistic enough to want birds to fly into your windows. So maybe it’s bait. But none of those world class guesses are in your poll. So i went with deterrence for witches and evil spirits. But i’m rethinking that now. I suspect you would get down with some witches and evil spirits. I would! I grew up in a haunted house. Unhaunted houses are boring!

I'm somewhat glad that you didn't immediately identify it as a rum bottle! 😂

Since it's almost Halloween, I'll say evil spirits.

I thought it was just to reflect light.
But if I have to guess I would say to ward off evil spirits.
