How do I get my window back?

A few days ago, I left the computer alone for a few hours and, when I came back, the window that has all my online tabs open was gone! I tried to open a new one so I could tell it to re-open all the tabs I had open when I was last here but, I couldn't find that command anywhere! So, I tried open the tabs manually. Apparently, the old one is still open SOMEWHERE because, every time I get a new e-mail, I hear the bell ring twice! How do I get the older one to come to the surface again?

You mean to open closed browser tabs?
If so it's Control + Shift + T to open previously closed tabs.
I think for Mac the equivalent is Command + Shift + T

It's not closed, it's just hidden by the computer and I have no idea how to make it visible, again so I can close this one.

Did it twice, it only opened two tabs I closed 40:00 ago. What I'm looking for is a window that had at least a dozen tabs on it of things I had open from online. Obviously, the window is still here SOMEWHERE, I can hear it but I can't see it!

Have you tried Alt + Tab? or Command + tab for mac.

It does nothing but, I don't want just a tab, I'm trying to regain access to an open window that the computer chose to hide on me last week.

I don't know which OS you're using.
What I just mentioned is a shortcut to switching between windows.
What's happening in your case may be that the window is closed but the application is running from tray. (In Windows it's bottom right, close to the time, there should be like an up arrow, or just the roof of a house type of arrow, I don't know how they're called. > but upwards.)

click the up arrow, hover over icons with your mouse, read the description of the programs and if you're still getting notifications you ought to find it there.

Thanks! I'll try to remember that the next time it happens! I found a way to get it back via the task master. I've since copied the two things I wanted from it over to the old version and shut the new one down.

8.1 oh boy... my condolences.
To get to the task manager you also have the option of pressing Control (Ctrl) + Shift + Esc. It opens it specifically, the other, more OG way would be Ctrl+Shift+Del.
Switching between windows is Alt + Tab, if you hold Alt it'll show you the list of all windows preset.

Why? I've tried 10 and didn't like it and I hear 11's a shit show! I'd rather use 7 but, 8.1 is just as good.
Okay, thanks for the shortcuts. I, basically, taught myself almost everything I know about computers and some of it is by accident so, I might not remember doing something that way if I only do it once every few years.

Just restart the computer so it can correct itself. Not worth trying to fix something that might be unfixable.

Search online for windows task view or just press cntrl + Alt + tab

You probably just switched to a new window task

Go to your browser history and there should be an option to reopen those tabs

I did but I don't see everything there and that still doesn't close the one that's now hidden or allow me to open it so I can close this one.

Just go to task manager, look at your open tasks then force close the browser task. Then reopen your tabs.
