Can everyone see results from squats and diet or does it depend on genetics?
How long does it take for u to see results?
Whether or not they actually add mass to your lower body depends on your diet (you need a surplus to gain mass), how many rest days you allow yourself in between workouts, and whether or not the weight you're working with is enough to fatigue you in a certain rep range (approx. 8-12 reps). If you're eating at a deficit, or simply doing bodyweight squats, then no. They won't make anything grow. The only thing they might do (and this is a big MIGHT) in that case is allow you to retain what muscle mass you DO have while fat goes away.
People looking specifically to add muscle mass will often take 2-3 rest days before training that body part again. Some, like pro bodybuilders, will only do it once a week.
So genetics dont matter?
They do matter, but with a proper training regimen you can work around it. And unless you're working muscles that are untrained, you won't make anything grow if you are eating below your maintenance calories.

Squats really do work, it helps to shape and lift. You should also add some lunges to your workout.
It makes it tighter and lifts it up. But I wouldn't say it makes it bigger.

Squats can tighten the areas around your butt, making it look bigger. They also make your butt more firm. You may not look like Jen Selter but you'll defiantly see results.

Yes, it absolutely works. I'm a guy and this unfortunately happened to me... I saw results after a few weeks
White guys usually only care if it's shapely and small. Squats certainly do that.
