Should I cut my hair?

So I've always had major issues with my hair. In my avatar it's put back but when I let it down it goes down to my shoulders and is very very very frizzy and poofy I guess you can say. People always make fun of me so I never let it down unless I straighten it, then people say I'm pretty or some shit like that. It takes me like 2-3 hours just to straighten it. Should I cut my hair or not? I was thinking of cutting it up to my mid neck and always straighten it since it will be easier cause it's short. I have yearbook picture Saturday! D:

My hair used to cover my back until I cut it last year because I wanted to go natural. It does the same as yours because mine is curly and when I wanted to have it done, sometimes took me more than 3 hours. I cut it really short, just some layers could reach my chin. At first I was happy, till I needed to have my hair done more frequently 'cause short hair gets easily mess up (if you sweat, if it rains, when you sleep) though it took me half an hour it was more uncomfortable to dry it. If you cut it, you should have in mind that it won't be easy to maintain it "decent". I don't regret my decision though, now I know that for my hair type I shouldn't have cut it that way. I should have left it around my shoulders.

Yeah but with my hair at my shoulders now it becomes a really large mess and literally goes out about a foot.
