I don't know how its bad for girls but for people in general I guess anything you overdo can be bad. its all HIIT so its going to stress your joints fosho. maybe that's what your friend was referring to. if you already have a flat stomach then do weighted abs workouts if you can. if you can't do them with weights then start off with your body weight only and then work into it and progress. some examples, hanging left raises, wood choppers, supersets. I don't know many names I only know how to do them. find a buddy who is experienced to show you the ropes at the gym.

Girls have this idea that training like men will make them look like men. This simply isn't true.

Working out will make you look like this. Female muscles don't build the way that male muscles do. We need some extra something something to get that look.
It's not bad for girls. I do it - albeit not religiously, but when it's raining out and I don't feel like spending 2 hours at the gym, I pop in a DVD and do a workout.
Ignore your friends on this one.
