If I change it so fruits and veggies DON'T count, do you think this is a do-able thing?
2. I"m hoping this will encourage me to eat more fruits and vegetables, since its the only thing I"ll be able to eat when I get like, midnight cravings
Do you understand that we need calories? Each person needs a certain amount of calories, depending on age, height and weight, and activity level. It's typically at least 1,000 calories a day.
Some girls seem to think that the only thing calories do is sit in your body and wait to be converted into fat. This is NOT true. Your body runs on energy for every single thing that it does, and calories supply that energy. To be healthy, you need to eat your recommended amount of calories a day. (Google it.) If you do not want to gain weight, stay away from foods high in fat and sugar. Also best to avoid processed foods. Do cardio everyday. You will not gain weight that way, and can lose some if that is your goal.
Compromising the health of your body is counterproductive.
Won't you still be counting calories to get those 400 - 850 calories a day? Ana in training.. sounds about right.
If you hate counting calories so much, why don't you just buy weightwatcher food and drinks so you only have to count the points you can eat per day? I think counting points is more managable for a energy deprived mind?
its still annoying to count -_-
This way its just like. Oh 600? Well the soup at dinner is 400, the cracker's are 100. That's 500... I'll have a table spoon of peanut butter with my apple at breakfast, that's the other 100.
Done counting as soon as I have that planned out. Then I just grab fruit or the frozen peas if i'm still hungry.
weight watchers is probably even more annoying to count because you have to constantly look up the points values for food
dude, the numbers are written right at the package and they are HUGE.
Work out how many calories you need in a day. Eat 200 less in a day.
Fruits don't count? They sure do, they have calories. Veggies do too. If you're serious about this then get over the fear of counting calories and do it.
Counting your calories mean you can eat all the stuff you like - maybe just not as much. You won't lose weight unless you have a calorific deficit (either by eating less or by exercising, or both) and you won't know unless you track what you're putting into yourself.
I've lost a pound a week for the last two months by watching my calories and exercising. I still eat pizza and burgers and beer, just not as often.
if you "modify it slightly", depends how you modify it but generaly "slightly" won't kill you.
I wrote how.
I the fruit and veggie thing.
yeah I know I saw that. is that chart telling you how many calories to eat on those days?
well, its a crazy not-healthy diet, so its saying how many calories total per day
I'm saying that it will be how many calories per day (minus fruit and veggies)
that's a crazy low amount :o if it were fruit included too like the chart says.
lol which is why I'm not including fruit
you will lose weight but it depends on your nutrition, if you have low protein or no protein in that diet plan then you'll lose almost all your muscle mass first.
nah, the real calories part will have a decent amount of protein.
eggs, beef jerkey, peanut butter, whole grain foods (which actually have more protein than white foods)
oh okay that's good, yeah see I didn't know what exactly was included in your diet.

You will severely deprive your brain and body of much needed nutrients. your brain os still devoloping girl! Why do this?
yeah but if fruit and veggies don't count, I would actually technically be eating a reasonable amount of calories a day, without having to count them :D
1. I hate counting calories
2. I"m hoping this will encourage me to eat more fruits and vegetables, since its the only thing I"ll be able to eat when I get like, midnight cravings
Um no ypu wouldnt. Fruits and veggies dont really have that many calories in them, besides y p u need a substantial ammount of lipids and carbohydrates in your diet, to support good brain growth.
Midnight munchies are a habitual thing. If y poo u het hungry, drink a glass of water or chamomile tea, and if you are still hungry, try a handful of walnuts or any sort of nut that you like.
See the only problem with that.
Is I"ll be like OH! I"ll have some water and nuts. And then I'll eat them.
And then I'll say fuck it I still want cake.
I really need all or nothing plans. I read that some people are abstainers. I'm definitely an abstainer. If I risk moderating myself with those nuts, its over, lol.
Well if you are 'all or nothing' go with nothing. Dont fill your house with junk food, if you dont have junk to eat, then you won't eat it.. Simple.
I know. I just bought like... a fuck ton of fruits and vegetables and things that are really close to being vegetables..
squash, apples, mandarin oranges, mushrooms, peaches, applesauce, apple juice, tomato soup, veggie burgers...
and then I bought like... beef jerky and peanut butter for when I need calories
Well its s great start. personally of i were, you, id forget, about the calorie thing at first , and just work on modifying your diet. If you continue to eat healthy like this and do exercise, but are not seeing results within 3-6 months, then maybe think about cutting calories, but honestly, you should never eat less than 1700 calories a day, it puts your body into starvation mode and can make you actually retain/gain more weight.
lol 1700 calories is ridiculously high.
most 1 pound a week diets are around 1400
i think your numbers are a little off...
No they are not off. I know what i am talking about, trust me.
Besides 'diets' are not safe, at least all the fad, crash diets out there. Most adults need about 1700-2000 calories a day to support brain health, but because you are still growing, (a womans brain does not reach full maturity until about 25) you would need about 2100 calories a day. That seems high, but it really isn't.
i feel like there's about a zillion dieticians that would disagree with you

here's a link to the world health organization.
Also here's a link to a calorie intake calculator. I used my information, and it told me i needed 2174 calories a day to maintain where I am. Considering that I am not healthy or trying to lose weight, it seems that it is an appropriate ammount. It also reccomended to eat 1305-1739 calories a day if i was teying to, lose weight.
I forgot the other link.
Here it is

What's your goal?
You hate counting calories, yet you've actually shown is nothing but a very fine tuned calorie count.
your need a baseline 2500 calories just to survive. you'll be dead by wednesday.
lol I don't know if I've eaten 2500 calories in a day, except maybe thanksgiving, lol
you're way off man
errr it depends on your size, metabolism, gender, age, activity levels, etc
dear, don't be harsh on yourself. Take a your time to lose weight. Nothing in the world deserves risking your health even slightly.
