Being a girl myself I can tell why they whisper.

Girl mainly whisper because they want to slag one another off. When a person see's a pair whispering to each other. They imediatly get confused, upset and left out. (this has happened to me loads).

Sometimes it's for just sharing secrets wich to me is not right to whisper because it can easily get mislooked and a person can get upset because they think the secret is about them.

Omg none of my friends actually whisper. They shout. They try to tell me something secret and will shout it in a whisper voice and be like shhhhh to me as if I'm the loud one.

Anyway, it's just because they want to say something private to their girl friends.
