I have never had any desire to do the physical fitness thing in any way. I used to jog a mile and a half a day when I was in the military but that was more due to a eating disorder then a desire to be "fit"

If that is your thing then go for it. I have always hated any kind of exercise. But then i was fat most my life. At this point in my life I rather live happy then try and be "fit" and be always miserable. You can jog and eat only rabbit food and in the end we all die anyway. It is better to just not go nuts on the wrong things and live life happy. But for some, running marathons and doing diamond or 90 degree pushups is living life happy... more power to them...

Rabbit food, I am vegetarian. But not to be skinny or nothing, just cuz I'm an animal lover and I HATE factory farming. Those poor babies. :(

Not positive but I think I used to be able to do that. But probably not that many. I could do handstand pushups forever as long as I kept my balance. I could also do the 90 degree part. I could press into a handstand from laying on the ground. I'm just not sure if I ever did that particular combination that he was doing, but I think I did.

I didn't work out with weights if that's what you mean. I was a gymnast though (and other sports). Gymnasts work a lot of muscle that most people never use. So they build themselves very differently than people who workout with weights.
I'd be VERY surprised if you could do that. However if you are short that actually helps. The further the weight is from the fulcrum, the more strength that's required. Like those shoes he was wearing made it a lot harder because that weight is so far from the shoulders which is where all the strength is required.
Yes, you need back muscles, but I doubt if that would be the weak link. You need the shoulders and pecs. You can start to practice the horizontal part by digging the elbows into your gut instead of having them out to the sides like he did. So basically you are laying on your elbows. That's a LOT easier than what he did and you might be able to do it.
Most important, do not rip out your shoulders. Be very careful trying that.
Gymnasts are crazy strong and flexible!

Yea, I'm trying a little to work out again. My back and chest I don't think I really do exercise for it. Just regular pushups. I'd like to be able to do at least one pullup or chinup or whatever they're called. Lol I'm a Jigglypuff! :x
That's the opposite build you want. You want strong upper body and skinny legs. Do lots and lots of pushups. Practice laying flat on your stomach and pressing into a handstand. Start by pulling your legs into a tuck, then gradually work toward doing it straight body. Easy :D
Then when you got that down, do it one armed. :D
i have the upper body strength to physically do it but i can't balance myself at all. if someone is holding my legs i can do one or two if im really trying lol. i had a friend in highschool who did 15 of the damn things. crazy bastard lol

Bending your spine is good once in a while. But you have to do other bends too. At least in Yoga we do.

Except in yoga you're not really straining it as much. And the forward curve is a lot safer and more natural for the body than the backwards curve.
It CAN be done safely, but you need proper core muslces.
I can do regular ones fine though. About 25-30 depending on the day. At least last time i did max (you're not supposed to train with max repetitions)

Yea, that was my punishment. Along with other exercises, they especially liked having me run in place while holding a rifle in each hand. I was strong as fuck back then and almost had abs.
That was Marine bootcamp and sadly didn't make it all the way for reasons. :(

IF you want to learn how, start practicing crow pose. Once you can hold it for a long period of time start to push your legs out and hold it. Work on planking and hand stand push ups along with dips at a vertical angle.
