Chest pain and cough may lead to tb.. So afraid of.
Any helpful opinions?
well the first step is a firm desire to quit... check
quiting cold turkey is really really difficult. it requires a very strong constitution which most people can't do. the addiction and need for nicotine is that strong
there are medications you can take that will do a lot to kill the urge.
you can chew the gum or the lozenges that have nicotine in them.
for me I weaned myself off. I gave myself a soft date that I would be done, but knew that it was rather likely I might still be smoking a bit. the first step for me was quitting the routine smoking. so those times I routinely smoked (after dinner, after work, a bit before bed) I quit first. Once i felt comfortable with that, I limited myself to one per day. and once I got to one per day I said after that pack I was done. so I had 24 days of one cigarette per day and when the pack was done so was I.
other routine times for me was when I was out drinking with friends.
try to avoid being around smokers or if you are in the environment excuse yourself from their presence while they smoke
I'm an ex-smoker and it took me 7 attempts to quit via the cold turkey route. It's hard but with determination and perseverance you can succeed.
I think you mean overcome not come over.
