Do you prefer to race in spikes or normal running shoes?

I'm in track and I'm not sure if I should get spikes or not. I'm a sprinter.

I prefer spikes on the track. I remember the girls that would try running without them would get left behind during sprinting. Spikes give you an edge for sure.

For track u should get spikes. But like regular running just plain running shoes.

I use regular running shoes, but I tend to do distance races not sprints.
