I had to have my right knee scoped for a gymnastic injury.
Plus another time for a shoulder strain, but it was more serious than I first thought.
One other thing I had to go for but I'm just leaving it out for now.
How about you?
Yeah back when I was 9 ish I was admitted into the hospital for 3 days because time was suddenly going slower for me... as in if the world is in slow motion and my limbs felt like they were weighted down or something...
I asked my dad if he knows why... he panicked and and drove me to the hospital in the middle of the night...
I didn't feel ill or anything , just... finding the experience weird.
Got my blood tested , they hooked up some weird machines to me and then on day 2 , I got my brain MRI scanned...
They found nothing. So I was discharged and I chastised my parents for being a bunch of scardy cats lol
It has been a few years since I've had such an episode but man it was wicked cool.
LSD!
Wait wuuuut , that's how LSD is like?
Kindof like you described, but better.
*to do list when back in Netherlands...
Do LSD
HHHHH
If you do, never be alone
Acid can be very weird.
When I was young i tripped and fell head first into a steel wall corner and had to get 3 or 4 stitches on the side of my head.
More recently ( summer of 2014) I got food poisoning while i was in transit from Qatar to Philadelphia in Hamad airport got taken out in an ambulance and was hospitalized for 12-14 hours in the capital of Qatar. Its not as bad as it sounds but i was vomiting like crazy. it was a cool experience tho chilled in a fancy hotel after got to see a bit of the city... yeah i would change that moment one bit even tho I felt like SHITT, it turned out ok. just a short snippet of the story
I had food poisoning once I think.
Stuff coming out from every hole it can find.
Awful!
That sounds really unpleasant all i knew was vomiting that time im 80% sure it was the tomato juice. I can't stand tomato juice anymore but il eat pasta and pizza and all that just not straight tomato juice. I get all nauseous when i smell it now. What did you eat that got you sick?
Just ER. Dislocated my thumb in a bike accident, dickhead pulled out on the car in front of me, he slammed his brakes on which meant I had to slam my brakes on and the bike slid from underneath me. Tried to pop it back in myself but couldn't. Didn't even hurt.
Another time got into a fight and he caught me with a good shot in the jaw. was really swollen and everyone kept nagging me to go to ER saying they thought my jaw might be broken even though I knew it wasn't, 3 hours of my life I won't get back.
9 surgeries, was in the hospital for a couple days or more for 6 of them.
I can't count how many times I've been to the ER from shoulder dislocation (more than 5).
I was admitted into the hospital during Christmas week 2013 because I had H1N1.
I'm sure there's more times.
A pandemic if there ever was one.
I get the shots.
I don't like to take, chances
At least 25 times. I have a disease called Evans Syndrome, so I get sick a lot or my platelets and hemoglobin are too low and need treatment. I alsi had a bone marrow biopsy, broke my foot, and sprained my ankle before.
I'm going to look that up in my nursing manual.
I don't know it.
i m a blood type O, take some as you need it.

In 2013 I stayed overnight in the hospital while they ran some tests because they were worried I might be dealing with something seizure related. Turned out to be false alarm.
In 2012 I had surgery to remove the excess skin after over a hundred pounds of weight loss.
In 2010 I had an on the job accident that led to a concussion and was rushed to a hospital after the floor underneath me gave way due to being rotted.
Yikes!
I hope you are OK now.
:))
Yup, when I was in 4rth grade. I used to have asthma. At night I had an asthma attack and my inhaler ran out. Being a clueless kid that I was and afraid to wake up my parents I just sat in my dining room gasping for air. My momma woke up to use the restroom and saw me then drove me straight to the ER.
That was close.
People don't realize how serious asthma is.
I've been to the ER a couple times for various reasons (asthma attack, flu, broken toe) but the two times that I had to stay overnight were from having an orchiopexy done and from having my appendix removed 7 months later.
Wow!
Does that has something to do with testicles, orchiopexy?
I see it in my Merck Nursing Manual but didn't read it.
Yes, it's a procedure that manually sets an undescended testicle into the scrotum (or sometimes removes it). As a male fetus is developed in its mother's womb, the testes form in the abdomen (just behind the kidneys) and they travel downward towards the lower abdomen just before the baby is born. After a certain amount of time (typically between the ages of 3 and 5), the testicles drop into the scrotum. My left one never dropped, it was stuck in my lower abdomen. For years my mother would take me to different doctors and inquire about it, but they would all give the same answers. "Don't worry about it, it'll drop soon" and "Just wait until puberty, it should drop by then." It was until I was 14 years old that I went to this one urologist and he gave a different answer. He said that if I didn't have an orchiopexy down immediately, it could eventually develop tumors and I could end up having testicular cancer.
Thanks to having the surgery SUPER late (I should have had it years ago, like when I was at least 8), my left testicle is permanently shrunk and I only have about a 30% chance of ever having kids. Which sucks, because I've always wanted to be a father one day and I'm afraid that women would reject me because I might not be able to give them kids.
Aww, that sucks totally.
Was it painful?
How long were you in recovery?
Yeah that is freaky
We get to sit on a pussy donut after having a baby.
Really not looking forward to that.
HHH
Yes, I was in the ER a couple times. Once, I had a wart on my finger and it was cracked open and bleeding and I wanted to make sure it wasn't getting infected - which it didn't. Then, the other time, I was having trouble breathing. The doctors weren't sure why I was having trouble. I eventually got better. Then a third time, I accidentally cut my finger while chopping up a tomato. I didn't cut my finger off. I just slit into my finger.
Vomited blood once two years ago. They gave me an IV and did a blood test, I was in and out in an afternoon. $900 hospital bill, thank you very much.
Pretty sure it was just a cut at the back of my throat or something.
I had several small incidents from broken arm, knee dislocation, the flu, a bad ear infection. I never went past the ER though. I suffered from terrible hypochondria so I like avoid the ER like the plague.
Yup, the first time was when I dislocated my arm, and then I've gone to urgent cares for a hematoma and a serious case of foliculitous, and I've gotten an ultrasound at a hospital outsource building, and have seen a specialist in a hospital as well.
I was in the hospital when i had my daughter.
the er when i almost did of an eating disorder, again when i crackes my collar bone doing gymnastics, and a few times recently because my daughter got bad strep throat and had a 105 fever.
i'm in the ER every week, researcher in emergency medicine. was never there as a patient aside from an incident when i was a baby and stopped breathing.
You must be really really smart.
I hate chem
the only subject I have ever got less than an A in
hey one of my best friend is in internal medicine. cool stuff
@hara
So funny you say that.
I nail bio. Love it!
I nail calc
I nail everything but chem
It s the only science I'm not gifted in
Have no idea why.
HH
Chem is just too abstract for me.
I can connect the dots in most of the sciences, and I think all the maths, even 6000 level.
chem just kills me.
I do OK in organic chem though for some reason.
Synthesizing molecules will never be me, ever.
HHH
The last time I was in the hospital was for tonsillitis when I was a wee little girl and apparently wasn't breathing right due to my tonsils being, yknow, assholes.
Urgent care? Last year for stomach problems that never got resolved.
Recently, just the ER - went to urgent care, they thought I had a heart irregularity. Turns out the EKG was read wrong so I wasted the better part of a day in the ER.
Glad you're ok
@forgivemeplease - you need to find a better trolling routine. Sorry dude, you played it out.
That's not nice at all.
What an awful thing to say.
I thought you were joking
@crazyincalifornia - don't sweat it. This guy keeps getting banned and keeps coming back. He's the virgin that only wants sex with a virgin. He's threatened suicide. Threatened to become a murderer, a rapist, and threatened another user on another account he's using now.
Wasted but still a blessing in the end that you didn't have a heart issue.
@forgivemeplease - honestly. It's not working I still hold the same pity for you that you are such a troll.
@forgivemeplease - yup, so it REALLY must bother you that I look this bad and still get laid.
Yeah I had a blood clot that they had to remove. I had thoracic outlet syndrome apparently which caused it so they had to remove part of a neck muscle and remove the first rib on the left side. I was in the hospital for 6 days and then I was home for a week and then I came back for a check up and it clotted again so I had to go through a few more surgeries and I was there for like 5 days
been to the ER for stab wound, got my pinky slammed by a door and it fell off, cocaine, panic attack, kidney stones.
short stay from tonsils removal, surgery, kidney stones
by the way, your D and E are the same
Yeah i messed that up
HH
Last year about this time, I went to the ER
Then stay in the hospital for about. 3 months which sucked, but I was really sick
I hope you're ok now.
I am good now, Thanks :)
I had surgery to remove infected tonsils when I was little, had to get my stomach pumped (don't remember why), and multiple trips resulting from stupid accidents and skateboard fails.
You were bleeding after the tonsillectomy.
Your blood went into your stomach, usually causing you to vomit.
They then would swab your operative area with tannic acid, a plant derived clotter.
Actually the stomach pump was much later.
Both, I was there when my little sister was getting born, when brother took me with him for something that I don't remember, and I went once for myself because I pulled my groin muscle after sprinting incorrectly once.
yes. when i was 3 years old i suffered from pyelonephritis. honestly, it literally almost killed me. had to undergo surgery. had to stay a couple of weeks to get better. now I'm 18, and i still remember most of what happened.
What is that?
oh I'm sorry, it's an infected kidney pelvis.
Renal pelvis*
Yeah it was referenced in my nursing manual, but no chapters on it.
Yea I was suicidal when I was in middle school and would be taken to the hospitoal more than once.
I know a bit about that.
Were you cutting at the time?
No I wasn't
a few years ago i ended up in a hospital for 3-4 hrs.
my experience? a living hell.
For what K?
Too many times and too long time 😐 because of work and because of my health 🙊
That sucks bad.
I couldn't imagine
