Fight through the pain ! Remember, we kind of have health re-gen IRL. No retreat, no surrender, no defeat !
You need to get back out there and show that snow who's boss. It probably thinks that it managed to defeat you but you can't let it win. I remember a long time ago I got owned by some ice, took me straight off the bike. Made it home with my leg bleeding
Some more training might help, it took me a while to get my shovelling technique right. And I can only shovel dirt for about 2 hours straight before I start to get tired

acetaminophen is only a pain reliever and it's only temporary relief approx. 6 hours
you need hot and then cold. hot compresses, hot tub, etc to relax the muscles and then cold compresses to make sure they don't swell.
you can also get a massage.
you can also just do stretches. it will hurt but it will start quickly providing relief
as far as medication take something with naproxen (e. g. aleve) as it is a muscle relaxer which acetaminophen (Tylenol) doesn't have
Try taking a warm bath and pain medication to help with the pain.
Also, there's muscle rub that you can buy at CVS. No prescription needed.
Heat/ice works as well.

I would recommend shock therapy. Use a damp hot towel to wrap it. For a while when it cools a bit heat it again. Then start alternating between cold and hot. I'm sorry you hurt yourself. Ivlovevthe fact that you will shovel the snow, but you shouldn't have to do that.
Heat pad and a massage
