Spanx squeeze your organs and bowels, cause acid reflux and heartburn, and can cause your muscles to waste away over time. To the people that said they HAVE used them before, is this news to you? Or does the package make this information readily available? To the people that said they HAVEN'T used them, were you aware that using them could have such awful side effects?

Only one time, under my dress. It was for my high school graduation.

To answer your other question, no I was not aware that could happen. But I guess it's possible if it's extremely tight and you wear it often. And I have no idea whether that information is on the package or not. I never payed attention.

But to be honest, this information doesn't bother me. The one time I wore Spanx, it wasn't even that tight. I wasn't wearing it to suck in a bunch of belly fat, or smooth out any rolls or anything. I'm not overweight at all, I was just using it to smooth out visible bra and underwear lines, because my dress was thin and tight, and even the tiniest things showed right through. But I found Spanx to be really annoying, because the skirt part kept riding up, and I was tugging it down all night. I haven't had a need to wear them since.
