Have any of you taken a pregnancy test and it came out as a false negative?

Question

Just curious as to how often this really happens. Boys if you know of any women who this has happened to feel free to say. If so how long did it take you to realize the negative was false?

Take the test twice, just in case. I've taken pregnancy tests a few times and they've always come out negative, and I've never ended up pregnant either, so I'm pretty sure they're working lol.

I remember a few months ago my sister confessed to me she had taken two pregnancy tests with negative results in the last 6 months.

Yet, she's only 15...

My former best friend is 16 and she will be having her second kid in a month or so. Just be happy they were negative.

Indeed, false negatives exist (if you take the test too early the hormone level may be too low.) Wait a week and repeat the test, using another brand.

-girls who can't wait to know or to be reassured.
- test vendors boasting in their ads about the quick result you can get.
As common as humans who don't think about it thus.
Then there are those tests found in a drawer because they were bought 2 years ago when a girl had a scare but got her period walking back from the shop with the test in her bag. And those tests kept in stock too long in the shop.

All these causes are very human; then there are a number of cheap low quality tests too, I suppose.
