So my question is, would you stay in a relationship if your girlfriend was fitter than you and carries out a strict fitness regime, even if you didn't?

Well you LOOK fit but what can you do? Aesthetics and fitness are two different animals.
What can you run a 5k in? Can you squat 2x your bodyweight? Can you do a pull up/multiple pull ups? Can you do a handstand? How fast can you swim 500 meters?
Gym rates or meat heads are do not posses much physical prevalence. They just build faulty movement patterns and dysfunctional muscle.
In regards to meeting a mate, No that would not be a problem what so ever for me, although I've never met a woman who is as physically fit as myself in all given areas. I've met some women who are better at swimming and 1 or 2 that are a bit better at running/sprinting but they are semi-professional. I also know some who are better at some given movements. I would have no problem dating them though.
Well I work out 7/7 days. Overtraining is a myth so I think finding someone as active would be rather... interesting lol
Anyway if she's more active than I am then well I guess she'll have to coach me then LOL
I don't care.
Thank god someone feels like that. From my experience guys hate it.
Just inb4 , by "strict fitness regime" what does that entail lol?
Cos I can eat all I want and not gain a lb in weight while still gaining strength. Can I still eat whatever I want?
Oh I wasn't talking about the guy being on a strict regime, it was more me. I don't really limit my diet so much.
BRILLIANT LOL
Food is life.
Overtraining is not a myth either. It depends on what you're trying to do.

Yeah I know but you know how it is... tell them some people maybe allergic to gluten and then suddenly half the country is allergic to it while medically only 1% of the population is.
Yeah true, but I know for me, at least for me, if I don't have a rest day my joints will ache like crazy. Like I said it just depends on your body type and what you're doing. by the way keep talking about health and fitness man. Seems like everyone post stuff that's not about health and fitness. Smh
I know plenty of young men who are very active but aren't cocky meat heads. Guys who play sports and run and cycle. Not the ones who go to the gym so they can get ogled by other men and work on their muscle tone.
There are people who go and workout in "muscle-tees" and "compression-clothings" , then there are those going to the gym wearing hoodies and thick clothing.
The later tends to be more down to Earth I've found.
@Illusive_Man I've nothing against guys going to work out and get a bit muscly, but the preoccupation with appearance and not fitness just seems so shallow and hollow to me. Same as a girl spending hours a day doing her hair and make-up. Not attractive in my opinion.
Ahhh , let me explain.
Those people wearing hoodies and thick clothing working out... usually ain't there to "look good" tho it might be one of the goals. The main reason there are there is to be STRONG. The thick clothing is there to provide GRIP for the very specific strength building exercises they do. The strongmen as people call them.
Bodybuilders - Strongmen.
Two different things.
Oh I know, I got what you meant totally.
No problem for me. I have a girlfriend that sports as heavy as me and is at the same level. So easy in life.

I would not mind. However, when we work out together I do not want her to feel like she needs to slow down for me, whether it be so I can match her pace or her feeling like she needs to protect my ego. My first girlfriend was slightly stronger than me, as in maybe a 10lb advantage in both upper and lower strength. She was a much better runner than me and way more flexible. We would do weights together and she would help me in flexibility training, but we did not run together because I could not keep up with her and she would admit to slowing down for me and, as a result, not get the cardio workout she desired.
I personally think it would be ideal for you to find someone that is leading the same lifestyle as you.
I'm not really in the position to answer this question, because I'm fit and a bit of health freak. Any girl that is more fit then me is probably a body builder which is a huge turn off for me.
I've tried dating girls that aren't health conscious, the food that I cook and enjoy eating is totally different! I don't want to smell Doritos chips, or other disgusting food like that.
Guys that work out/ that are fit some are cocky, and some aren't. You just have to find the right one for you! Gym is a good place to meet them.
Good luck!
A fit girl would compliment me just fine. Opposites attract and I an un-athlethic computer geek. The most exercise I get is pick up a basketball and play hoops with people. I can usually compensate for lack athletic ability with giving assists, running lanes and shot fakes. Also, to mention I'm a deadly shooter from mid range.
Yeah I would definitely have some motivation. Although, I'm a lifter it's hard to find women that like to lift. Even though a couple that lifts together stays together. You should invite your guy to workout with you.
My regime ain't super strict, but I'd be happy to have her around for encouragement, inspiration, and to be active with.
Plus look at that body! Dizzzam.
That would motivate me to become more healthier and more active. So to answer you question, it's a bigggggg yes for me.
She can also be my mentor or trainer to help me get better
I wouldn't care, I would be glad she had an amazing body and stayed healthy.
I'm good with it. I workout 3X a week and trying to get more running / jogging in. Her working out more than me could give me more incentive to work out more.
I find it funny that you criticize guys for being cocky, but don't see that you are full of yourself.
All she said was that she's fit. Seems like you're projecting your insecurities
@been_waiting "No one is on MY level unless they are a douche bag", that's basically what she said, so no no no she isn't full of herself at all. Just like there are no women who is my level who isn't a complete bitch. And then she also takes a photo of herself that is pretty much to "prove" she is in shape, it reminds me of those guys who she is speaking of, where they have to prove to everyone that they work out by taking photos of themselves working out.
Yeah you're definitely insecure if you feel threatened by someone who's fit and knows it. Should she pretend to be stupid and act like she has no idea?
Yes, indeed. She would look fantastic, much like the girl in this pic, and it would challenge me to better myself physically, too
Same thing going on with my boyfriend. I’m wayyyyy stronger than him. And taller 😁. He loves it. He hardly has to walk. just go w/ the flow and give him all the piggyback rides, he deserves piggyback rides 🤗
That would be cool because That would push me real hard to beat her because I can't have that
I would love to have A girlfriend who is stronger or at the same level as me. So we can do strengt testsand it is Every time hard to beat eachother
Is your life gag? You are always on here.. F.. I.. Gt..
