Girls, Should I go see the doctor?

So I am on the 3 month birth control pill and i am only on my 2nd month. But i have been on my period for most the itme. But I dont know what to do.

Yes see your doctor! That's why they do the 3 month trial, to see what works for you! They will most likely switch you to a different prescription. I had a problem with the trial one I was on as well but they changed it for me and I was all better. :)

Usually the 3 month prescription is a trial. I guess you meant the one you get 3 months worth at a time. Well it doesn't change my answer...

Yeah where I don't have a period for 3 months. I have been on it for 51/2 to 6 years.

Oh! Got it. Wow I totally misunderstood. Well I think our bodies can get accustomed to the dosage of estrogen and sometimes it needs to be increased. I would def go see the doc. It probably happens to people pretty frequently.

That's really bad and it's not right. You need to see your doctor for that and it must mean that your body can't adjust to it or it's not right. Do you would need to try something else and that kind of birth control gets thrown out the window

But last time she just said I need an increase, I got the increase and it hasn't changed.

You mean an increase in hormones? It could possibly be your body adjusting to the hormonal changes, because when I first went on the pill my period lasted for 10 days. I would go back to the doctor just to be safe. Having a period that long can cause iron deficiencies.
