What would you prefer; Glasses? or Contacts?

I've been wearing Glasses for about 3 years, just graduated High School, and thinking of wearing Contacts.
My Vision is really bad, so I'd like some opinions. Glasses or Contacts? give me Pros and Cons about both in your Opinion and choose your answer.

Contacts are way better in my opinion. Takes a while to adjust to them but once you're finally used to them they're great. Glasses don't provide you with peripheral vision, there's always a risk of them breaking (especially in sports), they can't be worn in water (and swimming without them is uncomfortable because you can't see anything), and they slide down your face and whatnot.

Contacts are directly on your eye so they provide you with complete vision and there's less general inconvenience. The cons of them would have to be that, unlike with glasses which you can easily remove or put back on your face at will, they always have to be removed after washing your hands and it involves directly touching your eye, which in different situations can prove to be an inconvenience in itself.

I wore contacts all through high school and most of college. They're great because they stay clear. You don't have to worry about cleaning them all the time the way you do with glasses. You can also wear regular sunglasses! And HATS. It's awesome.

However it can really wear on your eyes because of how quickly they dry out. They're really difficult to wear if your eyes are affected by allergies.

I learned it the hard way and actually ended up developing an opacity on my left eye that took nearly a year to heal. And it comes back whenever I try wearing contacts agin so I've forgone them all together. That's pretty rare though so I think you should def give them a try!

Hmm I'll try out contacts, isn't there 2 different types of contacts? One for everyday, and One thats thrown away and you can use new ones?

There's all sorts actually. Some you can leave in for an entire month all the way to ones you throw away every day. It just depends what your doctor decides is right for you.

Glasses suit me so I just rock them as best I can. I hate the idea of contact lenses anyway.

i wear glasses for reading and have done so for about 5 years now. never worn contacts and i dont think i will unless it's for a special occasion with lots of photos. i think it depends on what you'll feel most comfortable in and what suits ur lifestyle.
is there something about glasses that bothers u or do u not mind them?
or do u move a lot which is why u feel u can't wear glasses?

all that kinda stuff is important to consider, because essentially, we can't make this decision for u =]

Nothing is wrong with Glasses, I love them. But sometimes change is right you know? I just have a choice between Glasses or Contacts, so I'm grabbing opinions.

ah ok. well id personally say to stick with glasses because i think theyre great, but if ur bored of wearing glasses then go for the contacts.
