Can you stop someone from moaning in their sleep?

So the insane snoring finally came to an end which is great! But now.. my roommate constantly moans all throughout the night... EVERY NIGHT and it sounds like she's... You know... And I'm too nervous to look over because i don't know wtf's going on over there. It's really disturbing. I've confronted her about it and she claims that she doesn't know that she does it and I call b. s. because I did it when I was younger because i slept weird and it would wake me up because I could hear myself. But she flips like a fish so i can't see that as a reason. But I find it really ironic that she faces my direction quite frequently when she does it. I'm not turned on if that's what she thinks she's doing.. It's the most annoying thing I've ever experienced while sleeping (after her snoring). If it was a guy I wouldn't care because.. It's a guy and the frequency wouldn't drive my ears completely insane. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do?

Lol it's 6:32a. m. where I am and she just faced my direction and started doing it again.. This is the first time I've ever been awake for several hours to see how many times it really happens.. (I'm only truly awake because she won't stop)

Wow thats a huge problem and you can hear all that from another room? If I had a woman like that sleeping in my bed That would mess me up. I am a light sleeper and anything and everything wakes me up I would have to move to another room and that would be sad.

No she's my roommate so she's about 2½ feet away from me. I'm a light sleeper as well, it's complete hell because she'll never admit to anything.

Ouch you have to share a bed room and she sleeps that close to you? Why so close sounds like she sleeps in the same bed with you. Sounds like you need to go back home and get your old bed room back. Your only 18 so no big deal anyway. Just record her and just let her know this is what I have to put up with every single night. No way I could ever deal with that Someone would have to move out ASAP

Well she rearranged the room before I moved in because she didn't like the way it was and yeah I'm moving back home I just needed advice on how to cope and even if I did record it she's so stubborn that she'd just say "there's nothing I can do about it"

Just get out of there right away. Its best to live by yourself if you can when going to college away from home.. This is not the first time roommates have issues with each other, happens all the time. Good Luck

I actually really like all of those choices but I don't wanna go to jail lol so I'll just try the first one and see how it goes

Does she take medication or sleeping pills? That's a side effect, the moaning. Also, drinking alcohol does that too.

Yeah, "What the hell" is what I said when it started. She's a really heavy sleeper but I'll give it a shot

Its often the position in bed. People usually snore when lying on their back. What helps is tieing a little ball on the back. That will prevent the body from lying on it because it is uncomfortable
