Will a dentist remove this?

I have an extra canine in the upper part of my mouth, it is right above my original canine and it's kind of crowding my mouth up, would I have to see a surgeon for this or would a dentist do it?

I had the exact same problem, except my extra tooth was situated right behind the other teeth, in the roof of the mouth. You'll need to see a dental/oral surgeon for that, after getting referred to one by your regular dentist. So go talk to your regular dentist, have them check out the tooth and let him/her decide what should be done.
