Have you ever had this skin problem?

This may be a bit of tmi, but I have a fungal infection right now called tinea versicolor. It's basically random little spots that are a bit darker than my natural skin tone and are only in certain areas such as my hip or lower back. I usually get this treated for by taking a pill and using a special body wash, but it comes back after a year or so. Family members of mine have this as well. Does anyone else have this problem? I heard it's fairly common...

I had it for a bit on my ribcage a few years back. I didn't use any pills to treat it. It's a fungus so all I did was use 'Selsun blue', and sort of applied it to the area for a few days straight. It's an anti-dandruff shampoo.. not too sure how that worked but hey, it did the job. Got rid of it pretty quickly, and didn't recur since then.
