How can you tell if you've broken or just bruised a knuckle?

Ok so, dont judge, but i punched a wall. Multiple times. I was having a fit of rage. I didn't break the wall but i have this thing where i linger over something for sometimes hours at a time. That happened today. I was in a fight w/ my sister and everytime i played the argument through in my head, id punch the wall at the end. But anyways, my hand is SERIOUSLY swolen. The knuckle on my ring finger on my right hand is where it's really at. The pinky, middle, and ring finger's knuckles on my right hand look like one giant knuckle with slight indents where they should be separated when my hand is in a fist. When my hand is flat, the knuckle on my ring finger is about 2 1/2 times its normal size (judging by my left hand which is perfectly fine) and the sweelling goes down my hand in a pill shape for about one inch after the bottom part of my knuckle. When i touch it it hurts really bad. The knuckle is kinda numb along with part of my middle finger. Their is only really bruising directly on my muscle but it still hurts when i press anywhere near the swelling. I already iced it for a while but the swelling didn't go down much if at all. Is my knuckle broken or just deeply bruised? You're input would be great, thanks!
