Why do I feel so awkward with my boyfriend?

I've been sick with a cold for a week therefore I've stayed at home and away from my boyfriend (so I don't get him sick).

I usually spend a lot of my spare time with my boyfriend so the distance has been weird. It was fine at first, healthy in fact. But now that I'm feeling better and it's time to go back to the old routine...I feel awkward.

What's wrong with this picture? He's acting the same as before, I feel the same as before, so why the awkwardness?

But I feel like ..."okay, so what do we do now?". Almost like I've been waiting to finally see him...and now I don't know what to do with him.

Any thoughts?

you could start off going on planned dates - cinema, dinner, sports - so you know what to do

maybe it's just a matter of days before you feel comfortable again

sex always cures the awkwardness when I haven't seen my boyfriend in a while. then it's right back to normal!
