Do stomach vacuums help get a small waist?

I've heard they do. Does anybody do them? Care to share your thoughts?

Well the Vacuum is associated in the bodybuilding as the vacuum pose sucking your stomach in for a vacuum is an extremely hard and difficult and it takes a lot of time to build up that pose.
The point is practicing stomach vacuums for a lot of time leads to this look you. Once you get used to the exercise you will see results where you can simply suck your stomach in MORE than you could before but only when posing, being relaxed won't give you a smaller waist, But it can help you to a point.

Like sucking your stomach in like a vacuum or are you referring to a device... the vacuum maneuver can work not by shrinking your waist but by strengthening the muscles in your abdomen in order to hold the position for long periods

Ehh that's completely new to me but I don't know how it would work.. better focus on exercises triggering those muscles and lowering your overall body fat percentage

There is a maneuver called vacuuming I don't think she is referring to a device... its big in bodybuilding if you look up frank Zane vacuum he was one of the best at it

@Whocares3014 Oh ok, I only do body weight exercises like russian twists for my waist (and overall workout) – no idea about actual bodybuilding but I guess those require a certain amount of muscle mass to start with, no? ;P

It works your inner abdominal muscles to enable you hold flexed for long periods... doing abdominal exercises works your outer abdominal muscles... if you have questions shoot me a message I'd be happy to give some pointers

it does kind of help. i tried it for about a month before and saw some results. it doesn't make your waist smaller but it flattens your stomach a bit.

It's an exercise where you push your stomach into your rib cage and hold it for as long as you can, if you do this 10 times a day every day it help trim your waist. Think about it as waist train gin without a waist trainer

Except that it doesn't. It might help you strengthen your core, but it won't make your waist smaller.
