What is your experience with breast cancer?

I just found out from my doctor that I have breast cancer.
Have you ever had it (if you have, then obviously you've survived), do you have it currently, or do you know anyone that had it?

I'm sorry to hear that and I'll keep ya in my prayers. My neighbor had it and I'm on the same meds she was on to lower my estrogen levels and get my testosterone levels back to normal. (I just got off a cycle of steroids...) they won't make you drowsy or anything like that. At lest they don't for me. Now I don't know if they will give you different stuff or radiation but clomid or nolvadex won't or shouldn't effect you in anyway physically or mentally. They are really really bad on your liver so if you pick up milk thistle from your local Gnc it will help protect your liver.

Deal with it as quickly, and as aggressively as you can. The sooner you notice it, the sooner it stays JUST breast cancer. My father has a friend who was just told she has 5-8 years to live, because what was at first breast cancer ended up spreading to her bones.

The women in my immediate family have thus far been spared the pain of breast cancer -- but, I just wanted to tell you that at least one internet stranger's thoughts and best wishes are with you... whatever may lie ahead.

My aunt got it from her birth control. She's fine now since they removed all the cancerous cells. You'll be fine girl (: good luck

Well me and my ex (when we were together) had a scare were the doctors thought for a little while that she might have it, scariest time of my life even though the wait didn't last to long.

Other then that I've never had any experience with it.

Still thought cancer of any form is no joke, horrible stuff, feel awful about the people that do have it.

My grandma had survived it. She also had had a mastectomy.

Sad to say that my adopted mother died of it in 1990. However, that was long before the treatments of today. I do wish you well in your fight against this terrible disease.
