Will running a lot cause weight loss?

I LOVE to run. I also have a lot of time where I can run. Yesterday I ran 8 miles and walked 2. Today I ran 5 miles and walked 1. Tomorrow I want to go back to the 8 and 2.

I am trying to lose fat in a short period of time. My belly fat is my main concern.

I eat about 1,200 calories a day. All healthy carbs, fats, and protein. I love studying nutrition.
Will running a lot cause weight loss?
