What do you think of this sports jacket, suit coat? Should I buy it?

No...That suit jacket seemed like it was part of a bad business suit. I think it is a Single-Breasted Jacket.Too Stiff, Too Formal. If you are going to wear with jean and a dress shirt, I like a Sports Jacket or a Blazer. Preferably in a textured patterned fabric like tweed or herringbone. If you want to go for a solid color, Navy and Charcoal is flattering. I also like a pinstripe for a different look and chocolate.

This is an update on the suit, mind you its taken in the darker in less than ideal conditions. Its navy blue. I need it to be universal, for business on dates, etc.

It's ok not bad, but it's more like something an older guy would wear not for going out, but it would work for work. It won't go with jeans, if you want a jacket to go with jeans, I would stick to grey light or dark, black or , even pinstriped if your going out to dinner or even a bar with you gf. If you do get a sport coat or a suit, make sure you know your measurements.

yeah, if that's your style a blazer is good to have on dates. and if she get cold you always have a jacket around. also in case t rain or other problem.

My only concern would be although it may fit you dimension wise it just might not look right on you, if that makes any sense. Hopefully you can return it if you're not happy with it.
