I guess it really depends on the climate you live in. I live in Canada, and we are running the heat right now because it is very cold. Everything is super dry, and that could be a reason why you are suffering right now.
I'm breaking out a lot because the air is just so dry. Some things that I find help a lot are moisturizing my skin on a regular basis, drinking plenty of water and also having a humidifier on.
Even if you leave out a bowl of water, that can help put some moisture back into the air. It might help your skin as well. The heater itself probably won't damage your skin just as long as you arent' right beside it when it's on. It's more likely the dryness of the air.

maybe heat triggers ur eczema, everyone has different triggers
Yeah, I know what you mean. In the winter my skin gets dry and sometimes itchy. But in the summer my skin is great. Probably because I live where the humidity in the warm/hot months is usually high. The dry air from the furnace isn't that great for our skin. Just one more reason I'm not a big fan of winter.
It's possible since it removes a lot of the humidity from the air. How often do you drink water? That could be one of the other reasons why it reacts to fast on your skin.
Ooh also using hot water when taking a shower is bad for your skin and hair :o
Heaters cause the room to become arid by drying up the humidity. You can use a humidifier or vaporizer or even boil a large pot of water to put some of the humidity back

I always keep my room cold, I would avoid your room getting hot. I come from hawaii so im used to heat but if its too dry-stuff then my skin begins to itch because it loses moisture. A combination of heat and dryness is what draws the water from your skin making your skin age more quickly or itchy. hope this helps:)
A heater damaged my mom she has a big bruise on it
thats beacause it was too hot and her skin was on it while she was sleep

You will get your answer by looking at the skin of folks from UK or Soviet union where having a heater is a necessity.- u
