Tried to talk to my sister about my depression an she couldn't have cared less, what did I do?

I'm 18 she's 17

Me: I've been feeling down for a while.
Sister: Okay
Me: Well I went on the net to see how deep it went, and I ended up taking some tests all of the results came back saying I have depression.
Sister: It's a lie because internet tests don't work you knob
Me: Well my friends recon that I do and one of the actually has depression or at least bipolar, Thursday night I burst into tears for no reason and thats the second time it' happened.
Sister: YOU ARE NOT DEPRESSED
She then tells me to get out.

Did you seriously believe a Facebook test? Those aren't really accurate. If you want to really know then go contact a psychologist to be properly evaluated.

She didn't say Facebook. 😒 there are plenty of tests online that can say if you need to be seen by a doctor. I believe those are what she is talking abou.

I tried I couldn't work up the courage to do it, even when it was just my mum on her own and I know she'd understand the most because as far as I know she still suffers with it.

Yes, talk with your mom. You sister doesn't understand because she's probably never went through it. Don't be scared to talk to your mom, if you really are depressed you need help hun.
