You shouldn't have to force these things down you. They're just normal... food, I mean seriously, what the fuck? If anything they provide a contrast to the 'yummy' stuff, too much of the same thing is boring, even if it's fucking tasty. Suck it up, ultimately. You'll get used to it.
Anyway, like any sphere of existence, you need to learn how to live in a balanced way. You probably don't give a fuck about your health, because you're at an age where it's bountiful. I guess it's a case of whether you want to learn the hard way. Sadly people don't pay heed when things are niggling, but only when something seriously goes wrong.
Also, if your body is not feeling brilliant currently (which I'd suspect it isn't, subconsciously), then learning about the affects of the foods you are eating may be helpful. In certain senses, meat and sugar are good foods, in that they have a very potent effect on your body. Meat is contracting and strengthening, sugar releases that tension. If you eat a lot of one, you'll probably feel the need to eat a lot of the other as a counteraction. Eating a lot of sugar plays havoc with your endocrine system, as your body releases a lot of hormones to deal with the spike in blood sugar. Anyway, it's that which causes you to feel really drowsy after having a (high glycaemic) meal. Naturally this will effect your moods, you might feel ratty and irritable for periods throughout the day, for example, as your body attempts to detoxify. If you eat lower glycaemic foods (such as whole grain bread instead of refined white flour), then you'll feel your moods be a lot more stable.
As I always say, if you eat processed, chemicalised, synthesised crap, then that's what you become. You feel like shit. Eventually you become a slave to the medical system, and then you're really fucked...01 Reply

+1 yVegetables on their own are always going to be disgusting. I am very much like you on that front. I avoid most vegetables like the plague. Sadly, I'm a diabetic so it's kinda out of my hands when it comes to eating. The trick is to mix them in with things you like just enough to mask them. Thus, you get a more filling meal with less of those harmful, yet amaze-balls, meats and sugars. For instance, I tend to mix in broccoli with tons of melted cheese or mac n cheese. Or take something with a lot of sauce and mix in some veggies. You can find tons of recipes that do this while also being delicious. Not all of them are gonna work but if you work at it and tweak them just enough you can get it to work.

+1 yHave you tried cooking vegetables? It really makes them taste way less strong. Also, putting cheese on broccoli is very good. I hate vegetables too, but if I cook them and heavily season them I can stomach them.

As an examble.. if you don't like champignons, you could try lightly roasting them on a pan untill they shrink (liquid leaves them) and then proceed to pour cream (low fat if you must) over them. You'll get an amazing champignon sauce. ^.^

Braising? Steam? Oven fried? Baked?
Did you know that you can make super delicious fake spiced vegetables?
first you braisse them, obviously, as you want them to keep their texture
it doesn't get much more simple than that.. you can add spicy spices
and regulate how hot they are through the use of sugar
(sugar eases the hotness of chili/spices)
There is bound to be "some" way for you to eat them and not throw up. ^.~ - +1 y
You know what? I actually made a sort of fish soup yesterday, spiced with curry and such
the thing is, I'd used both zucchini and cauliflower, but due to spices and fish, both vegetables almost melted in your mouth, and you could barely taste them.
You see, I'm not exactly too fond of certain vegetable myself
so I look for ways to cheat like that. ^.^ - +1 y
For starters, you could try to do a short research on spices and their effects
I did work in a restaurant once, and spices are my forte, they can make, or break a dish..
You know how our taste buds work yeah? sweet, salt, sour, bitter and umame
what you typically seek in food is umame, but if there is something you don't like
vegetables, in this case.. you find their taste, and counter it with spices. ^.^

+1 yYou will start eating vegetable when you start to understand what really goes on in your body,...
I always hated eating fuckin veggies man it tasted like ass to me, but going through some medical problem due to my poor diet iv become pretty sick and told myself 'if only I ate my veggies' lol..
And there are all sorts of veggies out there, I boil my veggies and add chicken to them it tastes alottt better!00 ReplySometimes you just can't eat some things. I can't eat plantains, bananas, or tomato sauce without puking. I don't force myself. Check into the Paleo diet, that might be a better diet for your eating habits.

+1 yAt your age the decisons you make about diet will affect you big time. All the foods you enjoy are basically going to kill you. You can still eat poultry but try to eliminate red meat from your diet. Sugar is a killer but you probably need to wean yourself off it slowly because it is highly addictive. Quit drinking soda pop/fizzy drinks now, they are poison. Drink fruit juice instead.

All the nutrition and everything that's in them is listed on that page, as well as the price and all that.
Smoothies. Blend fruit with some vegetables. Probably won't be able to taste it.
