Is not wearing warm clothes making me infertile?

My husband and I been trying to have a baby for 8 months now. We went to a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner and she said it's because the "inside of my body" is "cold" making it hard for me to conceive and got told to wear warmer clothes. My hubby's family feel upset every time they see me wear cool clothes even on a warm weather eg. dress, skirt. Is there a fact or scientific explanation about this? Or is this just an old myth? Genuine answers only please.

They have to sail south to the Virgin Islands where it is warm but the are all Virgins so they can't have sex ever it will ruin their reputation. Just my "slant" to Chinese medicine. There is a group of women that need and say we have to keep our feet warm and wear dresses cause the earth gives us energy through our vaginas and pants are a force field against that energy. May the force be with you. Maybe get a turkey thermometer and see how warm you are inside if you are below 98.6 go to a morgue. You could do hot yoga together the moves might limber ya up and that down for dog might get ya in heat. Open your shakras. I really don't think that is the reason but there are a lot of beliefs and I had fertility issues in my marriage too. You can try that or get tested. Test results give u clarity. I did every test on the planet it was my husband that I had to force to get tested and it was him. Get real answers then try the voodoo stuff u never know.

First off, you need to see somebody else. Not just cause "this person isn't a doctor," but because this holistic practitioner isn't helping you. He\she is being too vague. And secondly, I think you two are being a little impatient. Couples usually get pregnant within a year, year and a half after trying. You were trying for 8 months, right? Keep trying for about 4 more months and see where you're at. Meanwhile, make it easier for yourself to get pregnant by eating healthier and drinking more water. Find out when you ovulate, and purposely have sex on and around those days.

There are other ways to address this, so please look into it. If by a year and a half you still can't get pregnant, see your gynecologist and discuss options that you have. She might be able to refer you to a better fertility specialist than what you have now.

i don't really see how this would help. it sounds like an old belief. body temps are just about the same regardless. if you were an iguana and cold blooded your body temp may be affected by the outdoor temp but we're not. we're warm blooded and thus our internal body temps stay more or less the same

have you gone to a western medicine doctor? have you had your eggs tested? your husbands sperm fertility tested? those are things i'd really have evaluated

What you're saying isn't very clear, are you generally too cold or too hot, for a start? Also, that sounds like a perversion of Chinese medicine. Either you're really bad at explaining, or the practitioner was, either way, it was clearly no help to you. Health is a complicated business. If the practitioner can't give you advice that you can make some sense of and utilise, then you're best off paying no heed whatsoever and looking elsewhere.

Now, I have a little bit of understanding of TCM concepts and whatnot but the inside of your body isn't cold.
I think it's more like your body is more vulnerable to chills instead. That's what "han liang" in Chinese implies. Causes could be due to poor blood circulation and insufficient womb lining. My mother had too much womb lining that she had to undergo surgery to prevent tumor growth.

There is nothing scientific about it. Your internal body temperature are well regulated. If they weren't your enzymes would become denatured and you would die. Heat can kill sperm in a man like if he went into a hot tub but it won't make him infertile. I recommend going to see an actual doctor about this rather than a quack.

There is no science behind anything those traditional, alternative medicine people tell you. If you haven't gotten pregnant after 8 months of trying you need to see an actual doctor because there is most likely something medically wrong with one of you two. A lot of women typically get pregnant on the first night with one guy only one time.

To the best of my knowledge this has no basis in fact. Being stressed *does* affect fertility, so if you were cold to the point where you were stressed then maybe, but otherwise, since you're a mammal, your body keeps your internal temperature constant.

Just make sure you have sex as often as you reasonably can without putting stress on either of you. Good luck!

Uh you really should go to an actual doctor with actual medical knowledge not that the traditional medicine isn't valued or good. But with western medicine you can find out a lot more through the use of tests, medical machines and looking at things like the DNA, Blood, when your most fertile and not fertile etc, etc.

Try changing your diet, eat clean or try going vegan for a while it will help detox your body, stop using makeup unless its vegan. Makeup has proven to be a contributing factor ti cancer, infertility , hormone imbalance and obesity. And finally stop using tampons , its has such high levels of toxin it isn't doing your body any good. If your religious try praying, but realize sometimes a womans path in life isn't to carry but maybe adopt. Also , realize for some it takes time to get pregnant

Most people are the same body temperature, if the inside of your body was cold enough that it was a problem... you'd be hypothermic. Don't listen to fucking chinese medicine quacks!

The only truth to that is the concept that physically stressing your body can reduce conception chance, similar to how a extreme fit enthusiasts may skip a period.

That is a total myth. Your inside body temperature is regulated and that includes the fallopian tubes where conception occurs. Relax you will get pregnant
