What does my teacher mean by this?

I am missing class today and sent my professor an email hoping to reschedule and this was what he sent back. Any idea what he means?

In general, I would not assume that a college professor will reschedule your exam. It is better to request this of your professor.

I think it's a typo and the second professor is meant to be something else like year head or private principle. Not sure what it's called in your country.
Just say sorry for bothering you again could you clarify please?

I bave not met him in person because he had a back surgery. Do you think I can just ask the sub if i can retake it next class?

Maybe your first email seemed like you assumed that he would reschedule the exam. It's a pretty big favor to ask a professor- you might not have come off as polite as you could have.

Hmm.. Maybe it was the tone you set off in your email. Did you ask to reschedule or was it more like, "I would like to reschedule for ___ day" or something like that?

Yeah I wanted to schedule it for next class.

He probably got the wrong idea and thought you were demanding a reschedule instead of asking for one. Some people interpret different things differently
