Ya no one right answer on this one. I mean I consume dense, heavy carbs before BC I lift so intensively. But my girlfriend eats like apple sauce before lol. Just find something light and see what feels right for you, fruit, Greek yogurt maybe.
Don't go too crazy with caffeine, it restricts some blood flow actually, which is critical for exercise.

First off coffee only gives you mental energy, You might be burning more muscle mass than fat without a proper pre workout meal.
I like to eat bananas with protein. PBJ's , rice with chicken/tuna.
