Is it true that we (humans) live in a constant state of physical pain and don't even realize it?

Trending & News Pain is a defense mechanism, so that we know we are hurt or sick and act accordingly.
So it doesn't really make biological sense for us to be hurting all the time, as this would impair our ability to gather food and go on with our daily lives.
Although, if we ARE hurting all the time it would also make sense for our brain to simply ignore the "normal" pain due to aforementioned reasons yes.
When you suffer chronic pain that has no identifiable reason it is just your nervous system acting up and becoming more sensitive.
I guess we could always be "in pain" just our sensors are set to low, doesn't mean that we are always hurt our anything, just that the volume is set low enough so that we don't pick up "static".
I really liked your answer!! It sounded quite philosophical and I appreciate that quality in people ahahah :) :P Thanks for answering my question! :)
I realize it... but maybe I am the only one constantly in pain for no medical reason
I feel the same way sometimes. Some people suggest that depression can also intensify mysterious body pains and aches. I personally struggled with depression when I lost a close family member and I can honestly say it got worse during that time period. Maybe psychological distress has a way of manifesting into physical ailments? I have no idea but that sounded kind of smart ahahah :P :)
