At 22 should I be concerned about my temples receding?

My hairline is slowly is losing its square edge and the temple area has thinned over the past 2 years and I asked my mom if she noticed it and she said "it's a little thin but the top of my head has solid thickness and I shouldn't be concerned since her dad had a lot of hair into his 60's. I don't know if it is just naturally "maturing" or I should be concerned

It's a good chance you won't lose much hair like your maternal grandfather, but you also wanna take care of yourself by eating right and exercising. Refrain from wearing hats a lot and putting harsh products in your hair. You could also take pictures every now and then see if you actually are thinning up there.

I know its thinming I had a black/ square hairline shape in HS and since abkut 2o then my facial hair became stronger my hairline went back. I never wear hats and I avoid using hair styling products because I can grow a afro type thing with my thick hair so I can style it however I like without products.

Do you get line ups or do you leave the hairline alone?

All I do is leave leave he bangs longer do a 5 on thop and a 4 on the sides and back. But I leave the hairline alone mostly.

I do know a guy that started receding in his 20s and is now nearly bald in his 30s. But it ran in his family.

Yeah I have friends who are bald at 23 but does my hairline seem like mpb or just a more "mature hairline where men have filled in facial hair and the temples mature and stop. I don't know how to tell but my maternal grandpa had a lot of hair to the point where he bunned until his mid 40's until it went gray so I hope I get lucky.

It looks fine now but if it was fuller then you might be receding. Some guys can pull of bald it depends on your face shape.
