Can appendicitis pain come and go?

for the past couple days I've had flu-like symptoms. body aches, nausea, low grade fever. yesterday i woke up and my stomach hurt so badly i was literally in tears. i couldn't stand up or move without it causing excruciating pain in my abdomen. my lower back also hurt. i dont normally complain about pain, im pretty tolerant but this pain was absolutely unbearable. the pain was in my belly button and extended to the right side of my stomach and around to my kidneys. the pain lasted all day and worsened after i ate breakfast. i was considering going to the ER but decided not to. my mom was almost certain that I have appendicitis. the pain was extreme and constant and didn't subside. i was going to go to the hospital this morning but when i woke up my pain was gone. my back still hurts a bit. my stomach is still a little swollen and tender to touch. i still have a low grade fever (99.3F) and am sweating like crazy. as far as i know, appendicitis pain is constant and doesn't subside. so should i go to the hospital or just wait to see if the pain comes back?

I only had a slight bit of acid reflux. Or heartburn and a really low temp of 99.5. So I just dismissed it. lucky for me the next day one of my docs ordered a test just to check on myymph nodes and in the middle of the cat scan a guy walked in and said he was taking me right into surgery my appendix was as enlarged as much as it possibly could be without bursting. as they were slicing into me it burst. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks on i. v. antibiotics do to the infection. when in so it check it out. your lice is never worth taking a chance with. It is possible tbat it cod have been a kidney stone that finely passed. they can hurt like all neck. but it's always a good idea to let the RE docs check you

Flu virus could explain all of this. Appendicitis pain usually settles into the right lower part of the abdomen.
But I suggest you get this checked out. They'll do a blood count and check your urine for infection and examine you checking for appendicitis.

Go to the med center, it's cheaper than a hospital visit so if you don't have it then you're not paying like $3k for them to send you home

And if you do have it, they just send you to the hospital.

well i live in Canada, so a visit to the hospital is free for me.

My guess is a kidney infection perhaps. At the very least, I'd go to your doctor or an urgent care clinic today.

I think you should go to the hospital. The fact it's on the right side is an indication. If it is appendicitis they have to operate straight away so it's better to already be at the hospital.
Could also be a kidney problem which can potentially be even worse

Appendicitis can go away yes.
I have had chronic appendicitis for years without knowing.
Sometimes when there is no perforations in the appendix they choose not to remove it and just treat it with antibiotics too.

Most often though they will remove your appendix just in case, because ruptured appendix carries a huge risk of death.

An untreated appendicitis can cause a peritonitis.
Don't take that risk. Get to a doctor NOW!

When i had Appendicitis it never stopped hurting, neeever.
I couldn't feel good on any position or situation, awfull.

Only end with cirurgy.
