Stopping birth control after a week?

Hi,
I've been on birth control for a week now for the first time and I want to stop taking it due to side effects. Will my period return to normal this month? I'm expected to get it on the 28 but I'm not sure how this one week would affect it.

It could take up to a month for your body to regulate itself again. It took a month for me when I went off the pill a few months ago.

It can take a few weeks for your period to get back to normal, but it will be okay. Don't worry about it.
