Does weightlifting stunt your growth?

Its not like you can actually know how tall you will be to begin with. If it were perfectly predictable all brothers would be the same height, etc. There are also billions of trillions of other environmental factors which could have an impact.
In my opinion it's possible that it made a difference if, for example, your spine is slightly compressed. A half inch to two inch difference maybe but I doubt it could make the 8" difference you're looking at, especially not without serverly impacting your health (Esp. the mobility of your neck + spine), which would more likely occur if you were being continuously crushed from age 12 rather than weight lifting lol.
Yeah, it was just a theory. I've just been looking for a reason why I didn't grow. I never had any health problems, and I have only one male relative (an uncle) shorter than 6'0. I even took a paternity test lol to see if I was a bastard.
There's no real way of knowing how tall you'll be, therefore, we can't conclude that your growth was stunted. Maybe you were destined to be 5'7 all along. I've been lifting since middle school on and off and I'm 6'4 bare foot. 6'5 with shoes. So I don't know
Hell no brah lol I've been lifting since 8th, I am 6'3. If whatever, it only grew me taller lol I was 5'9sh in 8th
I just thought that it was really, really weird that my height ended up so far off my predicted one.

No, weightlifting doesn't stunt your growth. That is the oldest myth in the world. Generally, most guys don't stop growing until they're 22.
