I'm good at both, I was always one of the fastest girls on the entire school from elementary to high school lol #notevenbragging now I just go in the treadmill to run my 8k every day which usually takes me between 45min to an hour. I would say I'm a very good runner, guess I got that from my grandpa who was a marathon runner :D
That's awesome!!
Long distance, im a runner. I've tried short distance running and i suck... like I've tripped over my feet lol
What is considered short distance to you? To me a mile is in between and its my favorite.
What you mean like in a video game? lol i am still recovering from surgery, i can do 2 miles-hilly run/walk is the best i can do at the moment.
I would say medium distance running is for me. 4-6 miles is prime.
Short distance sprinting 1mile is quick and easy to get out of the way.
Can't stand running. I prefer circuit training or jumping rope for cardio.

Tip:
Sprints increase testosterone.
Long distance running does not.
I am aware of that. After all it requires more muscle to sprint then to run longer distance. Not to say running long distance doesn't require lots of muscle and strength as well but it isn't necessarily the same.
long distance running, because i love to burn those calories
You can burn plenty of calories short distance if you sprint.
What exactly is long distance to you?
short, by far. i was a 100-800 runner and a 110 high hurdler and a 400 intermediate hurdler in high school. i fucking hate long distance. i was borderline average in my 1 year of xc (5k/3.1 miles).
Hill sprints :) Anything more than 2 miles drives me crazy
Vote C: I don't run but luuurve all day hikes & 8km daily power walks.
Jogging for several hours is far more useful than a 30 second sprint... It's also a lot better for your will power...
I like both. My favorite run is the mile actually.
I love the distance, it gives you a chance to zone out and just go. My longest run is 30 miles, but I am sincerely thinking about training for the Bad Water Ultra.
I prefer not to do anything physical, if possible, thank you very much.
I use to be really good at long distance running, and cross country running, now I run for fitness.
I don't know what do you consider a basketball game? Lol that's the only running I'll do
I see. Well yes that would count as running considering it requires a lot of endurance. But my favorite run is the mile. I used to hate it, all running actually. But now I know what people talk about when they experience runner's high. No more nausea, wheezing, dizzyness, side stitches, etc for me so hooray. Any pain and burns I feel I simply embrace because I know there will come a time where I can't do stuff like this anymore (a mile in 7 min, 20 sec and counting down haha, 30 push ups, ect) . The more I embrace the pain with open harms (which isn't really a lot of pain but rather discomfort and a slight burning sensation), the less pain I feel.
Yeah I hate running. I just get so bored lol. Even listening to music.
Yeah it takes passion which I find stems from constantly practicing. At least thats how it was for me. I never fell in love with running until actually this past month.
I like both, but I prefer long distance running.
What is long distance running to you? I suck at short distances but I like the in between stuff which for me is a mile.
I just can't sprint for some reason. I am good at keeping a regular constant pace though. My mile test yesterday was pretty paced considering each lap was between 1:30 and 1:45 seconds.
I mean not that I can't sprint, its just its not my forte. I am gradually working on increasing my sprint speed.
No running at all, because running is boring as shit.
I used to think the same, that is was a drag that made you dizzy and sweat a lot. But fast forward 4 months later and I now know what people talk about when they speak of runner's high. I looove it. My mile time went from 8:59 down to 8:18 from Janurary to April and yesterday I beat my record by 58 seconds: now being 7:20 my fastest mile. It doesn't feel boring, tedious, or long anymore. Any burn I feel I embrace because I know I won't always be in this good shape. No more side stitches, wheezing, dizzyness, nausea. So hooray.
Lol I hate running so short distance always.
SPRINTS. Typically 50 yds or less.
5K. Is that short distance or other?
