If it has to be ambulatory, I prefer a hike up a mountain with a heavy rucksack on my back, and a chainsaw on my shoulder.
If it's open ended exercise, there are many things I prefer to walk, run, jog options:
Wrestling (jujitsu or just regular tumbling around), rowing (in a proper rowing scull with sliding seat, surfing, swimming, snowboarding, playing soccer, a gym workout with weightlifting, a boxing workout on a heavy bag, circuit training (HIIT), rock climbing, martial arts sparring, or dancing.

I was a sprinter growing up and wired that way. I like sprinting and absolutely hate jogging (the mile-long warm-ups were my least favorite part of track) and don't like walking for such a long time unless it's to go somewhere.
I don't do sprint intervals like fitness people though with very short rests. I do them as I did competitively when I was on the track team so long rests between sprints so that I can come at them fresh and keep measuring and improving in times/speed for my 100m and 200m and 300m.
Sounds goodπ
Hey, that's still really good for 40'sππ
It's something I take lots of pride in but it kind of depresses me watching my times slowly get worse and worse over the passing years. I think if I ever get something resembling a mid-life crisis, it would have more to do with that than anything else, and I might turn into a training addict trying to recover my youthful PRs rather than the usual way of getting sports cars or motorcycles or something like this.
Think of what you can still do not what you can't... I think that's still pretty impressive!

How did I miss this question? This kind of question is my jam!
I'm kind of a gymrat and do everything from walking to running fairly regularly. As for what's my favorite? It depends on my mood:
For weight loss and an energy boost? I prefer jogging and running. I usually run 3-4 days a week. Walking I do almost daily, anywhere from 15-30 minutes on my breaks at work. Walking helps me destress and relax.
There she is! I thought you'd reply to this one even though I pretty much knew what your answer would beππ
Give you props for your commitment to your exercise regiment π
Well I'm trying to get you to exercise with me, but apparently you're afraid I'll kill you or some silly nonsense like that, lol
π€£π€£ I'll exercise with you if you go easy on old frail ladyππ
Walk by the lake/river especially an evening stroll by moonlight βοΈ
That sounds nice and peaceful
It is hope you're feeling ok tc βοΈ

Heck, I'd prefer to FLY, but I guess I'll have to settle for walking.
Ankle won't let me pound very hard.
Even if we could fly, If probably still have to walk because of my shoulder
We TOLD to quit walking on your hands - - - - -
@Massageman ohh maybe they is the problemπ€£
@DocJones Rotator cuff issues, or something else, I swear been told different things. It's been better since not using as much as when was running the shipping department where I worked. But still have issues with pain doing some things
I do and prefer all as part of my daily fitness regime. Each has its role and benefit in my cardio workout. Running measures my speed, endurance, and intensity. On days Iβm doing light training or stretching my endurance I do jogging, long jogging, brisk walking, or long brisk walking.
Sounds good.
I prefer to distribute 'challenges' over my day. Usually, there's always some opportunity such as using the stairs instead of the lift.
I added some walking recently... but to be honest: THIS year I'm overall just a lazy fart :D
Next year I'll (perhaps :) ) do better.
Yeah I was too, working on it... Work in progress
I exercise every single day of the week.
Cardio wise I run barefoot, run on the mountain for hours, and do high intensity interval training.
Walking on the mountain is also fun as a family event from time to time.
Sounds like you get quite the workout
True :D
That's good
I brought a new cycling machine during lockdown as I'm working from home and didn't seem to be getting much exercise other than walking from my bedroom to my kitchen... I injured my hip within the first week after attempting a long distance cycle whilst watching TV and eating crisps... I've not answered your question but hey, sometimes life is not all about answers lol
Do you still use the rower?
Oh oops
I prefer to walk and each 200 ft i'll eat a muffin so i recharge and at the end i'll bite the spongy forehead as a reward 😬
Is it possible miss brains that if you walk a lot, your feet will shrink? Cause you said that they were big 🤣🤣
You have to walk a lot miss brains muffins 😁
You picking on my big feet ππ₯ LOL
I told you that your just a muffin in the form of a human, your looks are more like a cartoon character π€£π€£
Don't walk in the woods miss brains cause you'll make people think that they have found the sasquatch π€£π€£
Har har you're so funny... The bigger the feet, the harder the kick π
Kick some butt π€£π€£
You can't kick spongy forehead because your back will hurt you, you ain't athletic anymore, your just a wooden sponge π
Oh I still do okay when I need to
You don't have enough energy, i must bite your spongy forehead so you recharge π
Don't think that will cut it this time
Your the female version of cutman from the game megaman, if your cutgirl than i'm megaman π

Game over
Yep game over, no cuts for you miss brains muffins, the king will always win and at this point i'll bite the spongy forehead as much as i want π
Told you, kitchens closed
How can you close the kitchen before i eat? π€
When are you going to open tomorrow? π
I'll bite that naughty spongy forehead, she closed the kitchen and ran away

NOOOOOO! Miss brains kitchen is A+ i'm going to open the kitchen now, what have you done naughty spongy forehead? π€
Life closed itπ€·πΌββοΈ
We will see about that naughty sponge π
I voted something else. I am a big fan of biking, much prefer, Also, I like to build dams in the creek that runs through my neighborhood. Some of the pools are getting deep enough to swim in and I can drink and relax in between lifting heavy rocks. It's still hard work and I'll break a sweat but I can always just jump in and cool off.
Biking and swimming both great exercise
Out of those 3 I definitely choose walking. Running is very uncomfortable to me because of my big breasts and even a good bra doesn't help here... I love long walks in nature though, especially with my dog - she's my best motivation! 🐶💕
Oh I hear you. I have the same issue (boob wise) I walk at the track in the neighborhood with a neighbor... And used to walk a lot for my job so that worked for me...
Ok this has been an issue for me... I workout 7 days a week if I can. Sometimes I have to be into work early before my gym opens. So this year I said on those days I'm gonna start running on those mornings.
I'm having a real hard time getting motivated to go running. I don't know. Its just so boring.
Yeah I've been struggling with motivation, but more from health issues and lots energy but started slow, been walking twice a week with neighbor.. Okay we did go out for breakfast after walk this morning so did some damage there lolol π
cycle... walking is a slow burn and both jogging and running are impactive forms of exercise meaning you risk damaging ankles, hips and knee joints plus cycling gives a more inclusive workout for all muscle groups and cardio too
That's true...
I use a stationary bike. No impact damage like running can do, and you can read, watch tv, or even perform work while using the bike. Much happier with that.
That worksπ
I like all of the above lol but i walk pretty often like 30 min a day 4-5 days a week and run when the weather isn't too bad.
πππ
Well, I like to walk for exercise and on really hot days, do inside exercises
all I need to do is move my arms about and move my legs that will burn
calories
πππ
Dogs aren't worth exercising with because they are always stopping to sniff something or try to take you off your path to chase a squirrel.
π€£π€£
I like running, but itβs kinda lame unless you are with friends, I also like the gym but that is hard to do without motivation or a trainer.
,π I usually walk with a neighbor at the track by our house
Running mid-fast. Getting exhausted, breathing in, recuperating and going at it again.
Sometimes I even dash instead of simply running.
ππ
Run! Running if I have been more active, if I've been inactive for a while I'll usually walk and then run soon after.
Sounds goodπ
All of that, and more... I do soccer to stay fit, and because I enjoy sports as well.
That's coolπ
Well, for the distances I run, it's mostly jogging, albeit at varying speeds that could sometimes better be described as running.
Sounds goodπ
Walk
With BMI 17,5 I should eat cream cakes instead of walking but I need fresh air otherwise I can't sleep at night.
