I am going to be participating in this new clinical trial for baldness (alopecia areata) do you think any less of me am I stupid its for free?

The clinical trial is for free its from the Columbia research team from a drug called Tofacintib it blocks enzymes. Other brand names from the same drug have been given on humans for this disease and no one has died.

I have to only pay for traveling its in New York maybe 3 hours away from me and they will be doing month visits and blood test check ups for me.

Clinical trials makes you a guinea pig, but it's your choice. Just make sure they don't put you in the placebo group, because that group doesn't recieve actual treatment, then it's like a waste of time in a way. But at least you won't have to worry about possible side effects. It's up to you. Alopecia is a real bitch and I'm sure you'd be happy if you had hair. So go for it! Good luck 😊

You shouldn't do any drug trial that doesn't hold them responsible for any medical issues caused from the drug. And certainly not a drug trial with no compensation (pay).

Well I see like this there are drugs more dangerous than this and treated for cancer patients and some of them walk out okay even if a drug that is FDA approved and they are held responsible for harming my health no money could replace my severe adverse effect I would get. But you make a good point too.

There's already a naturally solution to treating baldness. Pumpkin seed oil has been found to prevent and regrow the loss of one's hair.

I read that and its not for my hair loss mine is due to an auto-immune disorder I don't have androgentic alopecia also known as male or female pattern baldness and I have alopecia areata two completely different things.

Well I'd be weary of trying a clinical drug especially one with no compensation pay if something goes wrong. But at the end of the day it's up to you, do the possible positive effects outweigh the risks to you?

I mean if nothing bad has happened so far with the drug, it's worth looking into but like I said I'd still be weary. Regardless of what you choose best of luck to you.

Yeah I've thought about this a lot the other drugs from the same drug just different brand name arne't taking any more patients for clinical trials but this new one opened up and I read this hair loss forum alopeciaworld. com and I've seen pics from random people with it who has some really good results. To be honest the positive effects don't out weight the negatives but so far from what I've read like this is from yale. edu and columbiauniversity. edu so far no one has had any serious side effects or died.
