My therapist is suggesting antidepressants, should I switch therapists?

Anonymous
I went to therapy for the first time, and it went alright. At the end of our session, he suggested I talk to my doctor about getting antidepressants. It honestly surprised me, we just met and he already thinks I need antidepressants? I mean maybe I'm just obviously very depressed but it seemed strange to me. I asked a friend and she said I should find a different therapist. But I really don't want to go through this whole process again. It took a lot for me to finally go to therapy and I really opened up and to have to deal with canceling appointments and trying to find another therapist who would be in the same building because of my insurance. It would be awkward and uncomfortable and I just really don't want to do it unless it is necessary. He wasn't bad to talk to or anything. But I also and very hesitant about the antidepressants.
