I would recommend finding a therapist who specializes in gender affirming care. I would be curious as to why they won't treat both since in the DSM5 manual it talks about transitioning as the therapy needed for gender dysphoria. It is possible to be dysphoric and depressed but im curious as to why they feel like working on the depression first is the way to go.
