Depends on what your BMI is. If you are close to reccomended BMI you might have a hard time, but if you are overweight or slightly overweight you might have a but less of a hard time.
Most importantly: What counts when trying to loose weight is consistency in your methods, it ain't a cakewalk and will take a bit of discipline if one wants "fast" results.
1. Exercising helps. Be it cardio or strength exercise, whatever you feel like doing do that (note: you won't get huge muscles just cause you do strength exercises, muscle have to grow too ;) )
2. "abs are made in the kitchen" is a phrase we use in the bodybuilding scene. It means that dieting/ loosing weight is about 50-70% dependant on what and how much you eat.
For consistencies sake don't look up some random diet from a magazine or the internet and blindly follow that. Those are not tailored to the individual and are usually "crash"-diets witch are insanely hard to follow for a longer period.
Rather eat a little bit less each week until you start to loose weight and keep reducing the amount of food you eat as you loose weight (since the calories needed to maintain the original weight will decrease with bodyweight).
Or tailor your own diet, what i mean by that is to find out your "caloric intake" (witch changes as you loose weight) and subtract a number of calories to determine how much you'll want to eat to loose weight exactly:
-To determine your daily caloric intake i'd reccomend using calculators online since the equation is quite complicated.
-subtract about 100-300 kcal from the number you got
-55-60% karbohydrates; 10-15% protein; 30% fat is a relatively normal distribution
-each 1kcal equates to about 0,24g carbohydrates; 0,24g protein; 0,11g fat
-don't forget eating fruits/veggies for vitamins
-don't use a lot of fat/oil when cooking
keep in mind these numbers are averages and experiences may differ, but in general if you eat less than what your daily caloric maintenance level is you will loose weight. If you aren't loosing weight you are eating still too much somehow.
Good luck! :D
First of all
Do you belive in yourself that you can make it?
If yes then you can do it but you need to do cardio a lot
Try to run about 6 miles or more each day
Also try swiming it helps to reduce your body fat coz you are burning lots of calories by it ,
Stop eating when you feel you are full , cut extra snacks , cut cola and soft drinks coz they contain lots of sugar.
Consistency is the most important thing when making a diet/fitness plan. Losing 20-30 kg is quite a bit to drop in 6 months. You may be able to shed that much weight with a crazy binge diet and burning yourself out with an over the top workout routine. The thing with such crash diets is that people tend to gain the weight back just as quick as they lost it.
Make a diet-plan that isn't drastically smaller than what's recommended. Maybe cut 500 calories from you daily intake. For working out, go regularly (4-5x/week) but don't do anything too intense to the point that you'll be super sore or start dreading working out. Think of losing weight as a change in life-style versus battle between you and the scale.
If you burn 500 more calories than you eat every day for a week, you should lose about 1-2 pounds.
If you want to lose weight faster, you'll need to eat less and exercise more.
For instance, if you take in 1,050 to 1,200 calories a day, and exercise for one hour per day, you could lose 3-5 pounds in the first week, or more if you weigh more than 250 pounds. It's very important not to cut calories any further that's dangerous.
Wishing you the best of luck.
