I use manual and I think it's probably best, cause people probably don't brush enough with electric toothbrushes cause they think it's doing the work itself, but it doesn't really do much. If you actually brushed just as long and hard though electric should be slightly better

I use an Oral B Pulsar tooth brush. Been using them for years. Love them. I think it works better!

Manual is safer according to most dentists, but I'm lazy so I go with electric.
