Can eating junk food make some girls stop growing?

I have 3 female friends that come from mainly tall family members and they seem to be the exception.

All of them either stopped growing after their periods between ages 10-13 or only grew 2 inches... even then they were still 3-5 inches shorter than the other female members. Sometimes, they eat too much junk food.

Can that be the explanation? One of them said that when she was a toddler, her doctor had it calculated to 5'8 and she's just 5'3 (hasn't grown anything since age 14).

It doesn't cause stunts growth but eating it in place of healthy food to where your emit getting enough protein and nutrients Will stunt growth. Whether if it's bc you're eating unealthy food at the expense of healthy food not just in addition to it, or not enough food. That can stunt your growth. On the other hand it's normal for many women to only grow two or three inches after period. Guessing height always involve plus or minus a few inches margin of error. Dr predicting 5 8 doesn't mean 5 3 is not their height.

Junk food on its own doesn't stunt heightm lack of necessary sustenance does.

True. Though it seems that some girls are developing too early and stopping earlier, not giving them time to what their actual height should have been at.
Many girls from Netherlands for instance, tend to be very tall.

Yes, one of them has gained about 15 Ibs. What I mean is what's happening to girls recently? It like they're getting periods very early and then suddenly not growing anymore... even when they come from tall parents and grandparents.

2 proper name nutrition
3 height at onset of puberty
4 weight at onset of puberty.

Roughly speaking, female puberty is triggered by weight in excess of 110 lbs.

So, the sooner a girl reaches 110 lbs, and hits puberty, the sooner she stops growing.
