Why some people can eat junk food without getting fat?

I think it’s about metabolism and physical activity tbh.
I eat cheeseburgers and donuts all the time but I never get fat while my boyfriend doesn’t eat any of this stuff and eats white rice and veggies because he gets fat easy.
